In Mediterranean France, the end of the Neolithic is now wellknown. Many cultural groups are chronologically and geographically defined (Rhône-Ouvèze, Fontbouisse, Vérazien...) and the origin of the Beakers phenomenon seems clearly foreign in this context. The existence of this cultural variety in the Final Neolithic leads to: Differences in the first Beaker settlements in these areas, Various types of acculturation, partial or total, of the indigenous groups, with sometimes the survival of certain Late Neolithic traditions, The development of two Middle regional Bell Beakers groups (Pyrenean group and Rhodano-Provençal Group) after the first phenomenon.
