Comparative histological and immunohistochemical study of ameloblastomas and ameloblastic carcinomas

Background This study aimed to compare the histological and immunohistochemical characteristics of ameloblastomas (AM) and ameloblastic carcinomas (AC). Material and Methods Fifteen cases of AM and 9 AC were submitted to hematoxilin and eosin (H&E) and immunohistochemical analysis with the following antibodies: cytokeratins 5,7,8,14 and 19, Ki-67, p53, p63 and the cellular adhesion molecules CD138 (Syndecan-1), E-cadherin and β-catenin. The mean score of the expression of Ki-67 and p53 labelling index (LIs) were compared between the groups using the t test. A value of p<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. International audience; New experiments have been performed on a high-K basalt (PST-9) from Stromboli volcano, Italy, to constrain the physical conditions of golden pumice magmas at their storage level and discuss their petrogenesis. Fluid-present, H2O- and CO2-bearing, near-liquidus experiments were performed at 11508C between 100 and 400MPa and under oxidizing conditions. Glasses were analyzed by Fourier transform IR spectroscopy and their H2O and CO2 concentrations compared with those in glass inclusions.Most glass inclusions cluster near the 200MPa isobar, suggesting entrapment at a depth of ~8 km. Liquid biopsies are promising tools for early diagnosis and residual disease monitoring in patients with cancer, and circulating tumor DNA isolated from plasma has been extensively studied as it has been shown to contain tumor-specific mutations. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) present in tumor tissues carry tumor-derived molecules such as proteins and nucleic acids, and thus EVs can potentially represent a source of cancer-specific DNA. Klimatisko apstākļu dēļ, strauji pieaug ultravioletā starojuma daudzums, un pēc 20-30 gadiem UV indekss var sasniegt bīstamo līmeni, kas krietni paaugstinās ādas vēžu saslimstības risku. Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, kehittyikö yliopistossa ruotsia opiskelevien ruotsinruotsalainen vokaaliääntämys kuuden viikon mittaisen ääntämiskurssin aikana. Tutkimukseen osallistui kuusi ruotsinopiskelijaa sekä verrokkiryhmä, neljä syntyperäistä ruotsalaista. Tutkimusaineisto koostui ruotsinkielisistä lauseista, jotka luettiin nauhalle kielistudiossa kurssin alussa ja lopussa. Lisäksi kurssin alussa luettiin nauhalle suomenkielisiä lauseita vokaalien vertailua varten. Aineisto analysointiin akustisesti auditiivisia havaintoja tukena käyttäen.
