Cathepsin K serum levels were determinated in patients with bone metastases from breast cancer or prostate cancer in therapy with zoledronic acid or in patients or in patients with located breast or prostate cancer end in patients with non malignant diseases and in healthy blood. donors (control group). Cathepsin K serum levels were significantly more eleved in healthy subjects or in patients with peimary osteoporosis. Furthermore, the administration of Zoledronic acid to patients with metastatic bome disease from breast or prostate cancer, induced a marked increase of Cathepsin K serum levels.

The availability of iron (Fe) varies considerably among diet items, as well as ecosystems. Availability of Fe has also changed due to anthropogenic environmental changes in oceanic as well as inland ecosystems. We know little about its role in the nutrition of ecologically important consumers, particularly in inland ecosystems. Physiological studies in several taxa indicate marked effects of dietary Fe on oogenesis. The Onnen sword was found in 1896 while exploiting a peat bog, about 1.5 m deep. It is a so-called “antennae” sword, named after the spirals at the top of the pommel and it dates back to last phase of the Bronze Age (ca. 9th century BC). The Groninger Museum now curates the sword with inventory number 1896/I 4. Although this sword is already mentioned in the archaeological literature, it was never correctly published. Its recent study in the cultural heritage agency of The Netherlands gives us a good opportunity to make a detailed presentation as well as to investigate its production techniques to discuss its possible origins.

Our analysis focuses on the implementation of inclusive practices for female and early-career researchers in a virtual scientific conference. This organization approach was applied in the XIII Spanish Optical Meeting (RNO2021), which was also characterized by avatars interacting in an online metaverse. In the area considered here, the funerary goods found in burials dating from the Late MBA to the beginning of the LBA (Bz C2 to Ha A1) are particularly rich, with a variety of bronze objects such as ornaments, clothing accessories, tools and weapons.
