Esittelemme tässä artikkelissa toisen kirjoittajan, Juhana Salosen, elämää autoetnografisesta näkökulmasta. Salonen on viittomakielinen kuuro, joka on kärsinyt nuoruudessaan vakavista psyykkisistä ongelmista epävarman identiteettinsä ja puutteellisten sosioemotionaalisten taitojensa vuoksi. Toinen artikkelin kirjoittaja Syväoja on kuuleva psykiatri ja Salosen äiti. Autoetnografisen tutkimuksemme tavoitteena on keskustella avoimesti Salosen elämästä sekä yhdistää sosiokulttuurinen ja lääketieteellinen näkökulma lähemmäksi toisiaan. Salonen is a Deaf person who suffered severe psychological problems in his youth because of uncertainty about his identity and a lack of social-emotional skills. Osallistumiseen kasvattaminen on keskeinen, läpi elämän jatkuva sosialisaation haaste. Konkreettinen osallistumiseen kasvattamisen keino on tekstin yhteinen tuottaminen kasvokkaisessa vuorovaikutuksessa, mitä tässä tapaustutkimuksessa tarkastelemme kahdessa ryhmässä: 1) uusiin työkäytänteisiin keskittyvässä henkilöstökoulutuksessa ja 2) työelämään valmentavassa mielenterveyskuntoutuksessa. Aims: Psychotherapy is a widely used treatment for mental disorders, but whether it also improves employment and other labour market outcomes remains inconclusive. This study examined the effectiveness of a nationwide subsidized psychotherapy programme using extensive register-based data. Methods: The sample consisted of individuals who applied for rehabilitative psychotherapy in Finland in 2009–2012 ( n = 35,083). Digital Mental Health Resources for Children and Youth : Evaluation of Strengths in User Interface Design

The aim of this research is to explore the positive user interface (UI) design of digital mental health resources for children and youth. For this purpose, a heuristic model is introduced and heuristic evaluation is used as a method to systematically assess 49 digital mental health resources. In the assessment, the resources are evaluated by observing the prevalence of UI design strengths defined in the heuristic model. The results of the study indicate that the resources analyzed have strengths especially in the dimensions of visual design, content, reliability, engagement and functional design.
