Private and professional lives among primary teachers: how they prioritize? Being a teacher in primary school seems far from allowing the articulation of work and private life in such a comfortable manner as seen in collective beliefs. Based upon the revised Job Demands and Resources Model (2008) we aim first, to test the relations between work-family conflict and emotional exhaustion across time and second, to determine the role of professional self-efficacy in this relation. A longitudinal study was conducted in two times, with a year of interval in a Spanish Army sample (n = 242). Few studies have considered the effects of interspecific competition between distantly related taxa on the reproductive success of individuals. We compared the food supply, laying date, clutch size, and breeding success of a small double-brooded passerine bird, the Eurasian Treecreeper (Certhia familiaris) between territories with or without col- onies of red wood ants (Formica rufa group) during four years. Both the wood ants and Eurasian Treecreepers forage on tree trunks and utilize the same food resources. Recent neuropsychological and neuroscientific research suggests that people who experience more déjà vu display characteristic patterns in normal recognition memory. We conducted a large individual differences study (n = 206) to test these predictions using recollection and familiarity parameters recovered from a standard memory task. Participants reported déjà vu frequency and a number of its correlates, and completed a recognition memory task analogous to a Remember-Know procedure. Insulin resistance in patients with familial combined hyperlipidemia and coronary artery disease.

The minimum model modified by the administration of insulin provides an objective and relatively easily measured index of peripheral sensitivity to insulin which was significantly lower (p <0.02) in familial combined hyperlipidemia (FCH) with ischemic heart disease (IHD) than in FCH without IHD and in control subjects (1.2 +/- 0.6, 1.9 +/- 1.0, 2.9 +/- 1.2 x 10(-4) mU/L/ min, respectively). In patients with FCH, insulin resistance explains, at least in part, their metabolic alterations (hypertension, abnormal glucose tolerance, hyperinsulinemia) and elevated IHD.
