Postilla all'opera di Andrea Camilleri
2022
The language of the novels of Andrea Camilleri is idiosyncratic, accreting onto Sicilian dialect like a saprophyte. However, the novels of Camilleri have had greater national literary success in Italy in the last 30 years. The first part of this text will attempt to explain the reasons for this cultural phenomenon, against the backdrop of the Italian linguistic panora- ma. The second part gathers together aspects of Camilleri’s prose, which shed light on the nature and origin of his literary expression.

2012
Through the principles of Romanticism expressed by Wordsworth in his 'Preface', the paper proposes a new appraisal of the Chinese 'hazy poets' of today also by taking into consideration J.W. Miller's point of view.

Nietzsche descubre a Dostoievski.
In this paper I analyze Nietzsche"s discovery of Dostoievski"s work, which happened between the end of 1886 and the begi…
Introduction: The Challenges of Defining and Studying Contemporary Entrepreneurship
2011
Entrepreneurship is a broad and complex concept, and is an important contributor to the economic prospects of companies, sectors, and entire nations. To a casual observer, entrepreneurship is most closely associated with smalland medium-sized enterprises, yet it plays a vital role, either directly or indirectly, in the sustainability of organizations of all sizes and types, private or public, national or multinational. The entrepreneur and the entrepreneurial process are critical to creating new economic activity—boosting innovation, wealth, growth, and employment. It strengthens competition between developed economies and supports social welfare within developing countries. There has been …
Sol-gel auto-combustion synthesis of Ca2Fe2O5 brownmillerite nanopowders and thin films for advanced oxidation photoelectrochemical water treatment i…
2019
Abstract This study describes a straightforward Ca2Fe2O5 brownmillerite nanopowder and thin film synthesis by the water-based sol-gel auto-combustion method. The material characterization results confirmed the phase pure narrow bandgap Ca2Fe2O5 nanoparticle formation. The surface area of synthesized nanopowder was 13.55 m2/g. Powders at loading 1 g/l exhibit high visible light photocatalytic activity by degrading 10 mg/l methylene blue in water in 120 min confirmed by total organic carbon studies. The high visible light photocatalytic activity is related to Ca2Fe2O5 narrow band gap and high reduction potential of its conduction band which triggers the formation of superoxide radical ∙ O 2 -…
Late Holocene Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis Miller) woodlands in Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Western Mediterranean): Investigation of their distribut…
2021
The pioneering nature of Mediterranean pines and their phytosociological role have been largely discussed in relation to different agents (e.g., edaphic, climatic or anthropogenic). In this context, Aleppo pine is one of the most widespread pine species in the Mediterranean basin, as it is especially adapted to climatic constraints, such as drought and high seasonality, and has a high tolerance for salinity and strong coastal winds. It is also well adapted to regeneration after anthropogenic landscape disturbances, highlighting its important after-fire regeneration rates. In this sense, phytosociological studies conducted in Mediterranean landscapes have found that this species' wide distri…
Modelling dendro-anthracological parameters with dendrochronological reference datasets: interrogating the applicability of anthraco-typology to asse…
2020
International audience; Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis Miller) is present in the palaeoenvironmental records of Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Western Mediterranean) since the Early Holocene. It is also documented in the archaeological charcoal analysis (aka anthracology) of early prehistoric sites, but it was especially exploited at certain sites during the Late Iron Age. However, different woodland exploitation strategies cannot be deciphered purely through the taxonomical identification of charcoal fragments, so it is difficult to assess if the presence of Aleppo pine in archaeological assemblages is due to specific social management strategies (branches and/or trunks exploitation). Anthraco…
