The Oulipian genre is characterized by the transgression of the canonical hierarchy of genres, imposing a set of constraints and writing techniques as the principles for the organization of the literary space. This hybrid generic "form", designated with the neologism "Oulipogenre", which subverts the traditional notion of genre. The Oulipogenre establishes a horizon of kinetic suspension, depriving the reader of identification and decodification of the genre. A spiking network for spatial memory formation: Towards a fly-inspired ellipsoid body model

Neural centers devoted to spatial memory and path integration were largely studied in rats and in different insect species like ants and bees. In this paper a neural-based model for the formation of a spatial working memory is proposed mirroring some peculiarities of the Drosophila central brain and in particular the ellipsoid body. Simulation results are reported opening the way to applications on roving platforms.

Solar systems based on the coupling of parabolic concentrating collectors and thermal engines (i.e. dish-Stirling systems) are among the most efficient generators of solar power currently available. This study focuses on the modelling of functioning data from a 32 kWe dish-Stirling solar plant installed at a facility test site on the University of Palermo campus, in Southern Italy. Analytical design of nonlinear optical loop mirrors for fiber-optic communication systems

International audience; We propose an easy and efficient method for analytically designing nonlinear optical loop mirrors (NOLMs) for fiber-optic communication systems. This analytical design is based on a Taylor series expansion of the transfer function of the NOLM, from which highly stable dynamical regimes can be readily obtained for any desired pulse parameters. We present numerical simulations showing dramatically improved performances in a 160 Gb/s transmission system that incorporates the NOLMs designed analytically.
Influence of spectral composition on the temperature coefficients of solar cells from Elkem Solar

The temperature coefficients of solar cells from two different feedstocks — a compensated silicon, the Elkem Solar Silicon (ESS®), and polysilicon - under full and selective parts of the light spectrum are presented based on results obtained using a AAA sun simulator. These results are of particular interest in understanding the possible causes behind the better temperature coefficients usually observed for ESS® compared to polysilicon solar cells when measured with a full AM1.5 spectrum. The title compound, dicaesium(I)-μ-thiocyanato-κ2N:S-zinc(II)-tetra-μ-thiocyanato-κ2S:N-argentate(I), crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pmn21 and contains units of composition AgZn(SCN)3 lying on a mirror plane and bonded together through Cs+ ions and thiocyanate groups. The crystal studied contained equal numbers of inversion twins.
