2021
Proton dripline studies at ISOLDE: 31Ar and 9C
2002
In this contribution examples of the application of new technologies to disentangle the mechanism of beta-delayed multiparticle emission are given. In particular the mechanism of β-delayed two-proton emission from 31Ar has be resolved and proved to be sequential, a preview of 9C-decay data is discussed. peerReviewed
Characteristics of segmented super clover detector in close geometry decay measurements
2001
Characteristics of the segmented Super Clover germanium detector response in close geometries have been studied. Results obtained with localising hit pattern recognition are compared with results from add-back and individual crystal analysis. The detector has been used at the focal plane of a gas filled recoil separator to detect isomeric gamma-rays from the nuclei produced in the 150Sm(42Ca,4n)188Pb reaction. Coincidence data from the detector was analysed and the level scheme below the 1.2 μ s isomeric state in 188Pb could be deduced. peerReviewed
Deformation of the proton emitter 113Cs from electromagnetic transition and proton-emission rates
2016
The lifetime of the (11/2+) state in the band above the proton-emitting (3/2+) state in 113Cs has been measured to be τ = 24(6) ps from a recoil-decay-tagged differential-plunger experiment. The measured lifetime was used to deduce the deformation of the states using wave functions from a nonadiabatic quasiparticle model to independently calculate both proton-emission and electromagnetic γ -ray transition rates as a function of deformation. The only quadrupole deformation, which was able to reproduce the experimental excitation energies of the states, the electromagnetic decay rate of the (11/2+) state and the proton-emission rate of the (3/2+) state, was found to be β2 = 0.22(6). This defo…
Nanosecond-Scale Proton Emission from Strongly Oblate-Deformed ^{149}Lu.
2021
Using the fusion-evaporation reaction ^{96}Ru(^{58}Ni,p4n)^{149}Lu and the MARA vacuum-mode recoil separator, a new proton-emitting isotope ^{149}Lu has been identified. The measured decay Q value of 1920(20) keV is the highest measured for a ground-state proton decay, and it naturally leads to the shortest directly measured half-life of 450_{-100}^{+170} ns for a ground-state proton emitter. The decay rate is consistent with l_{p}=5 emission, suggesting a dominant πh_{11/2} component for the wave function of the proton-emitting state. Through nonadiabatic quasiparticle calculations it was concluded that ^{149}Lu is the most oblate deformed proton emitter observed to date.
Phrasal Europeanisms in Llibre de paraules e dits de savis e filòsofs. A diachronic and comparative study.
2016
Problemy przekazu międzypokoleniowego i socjalizacji historycznej w rodzinach na Śląsku Opolskim
2016
The article presents the research about the ntergenerational transmission in families in the Opole Silesia. This community co-creates the descendants of the native population, peoples displaced from the former eastem borderlands, and immigrants population from the central Polish and other regions. The aim of the study was to investigate the social and cultural determinants of intergenerational transmission and its’ contents and forms in families in the Opole Silesia. The generations which grew up during the post-war period are different from the previous ones by social and cultural factors, which are important for the continuity of intergenerational transmission, such as: family model, the …

Civic Engagement, External Impact and the Third Mission of Universities
2019
The chapter focuses on the role of the third mission of universities. and highlights the benefits of public engagement as well as the role of public policies with reference to third mission. Moreover, the consequence of scientific contributions in the production of policy indications is underlined in the contribution. The authors also focus on the Italian case and outline some critical methodological aspects concerning impact evaluation of public engagement.
Energy level determination of purine containing blue light emitting organic compounds
2018
Organic light emitting diodes (OLED) have found their applications in the mobile and TV screens. Till now the commercially available diodes are made by expensive thermal evaporation in a vacuum. The costs of OLED fabrication could be decreased by applying low-cost wet casting methods, for example, spin-coating. In this work, we have studied a group of blue light emitting purine derivatives which could potentially be used in OLEDs. The advantage of these compounds is their ability to form amorphous thin films from solutions. All the thin films were prepared by the spincoating method from chloroform solution on ITO glass. The position of hole and electron transport energy levels is important …
