Introduction \ud Hamstring strain injuries typically occur in the proximal biceps femoris long head (BFlh) at high running speeds. Strain magnitude seems to be the primary determinant of strain injury, and may be regulated by muscle activation. In running, BFlh strain is largest in the proximal region, especially at high speeds. Abstract Modification of aluminium alloy substrates microstructure and morphology by depositing new oxide layers on top of the metal surface has been investigated, with the aim of improving adhesion. The effect of treating the metal with boiling water or immersing it in a cerate bath has been studied by means of electron microscopy, contact angle measurements and peeling tests. The study present results of geobotanical investigations conducted in rice fields in the central Pamir Alai Mts (Tajikistan, Middle Asia), mainly within Syr-Daria, Pyandzh, Zeravshan, Kafirnigan, Khanaka and Surkhandaria river valleys in the years 2009–2011. The researches were focused on classification of plant communities developing within this poorly investigated area. Habitat conditions were checked including conductometry, pH reaction, temperature, depth of water and, for several plots, also soil structure. Proving convexity preserving properties of interpolatory subdivision schemes through reconstruction operators

We introduce a new approach towards proving convexity preserving properties for interpolatory subdivision schemes. Our approach is based on the relation between subdivision schemes and prediction operators within Harten's framework for multiresolution, and hinges on certain convexity properties of the reconstruction operator associated to prediction. Our results allow us to recover certain known results [10,8,1,7]. In addition, we are able to determine the necessary conditions for convexity preservation of the family of subdivision schemes based on the Hermite interpolation considered in [4].

Background Allergic asthma is a T H 2-promoted hyperreactivity with an immediate, IgE, and mast cell–dependent response followed by eosinophil-dominated inflammation and airway obstruction.
