Dans cet article, nous présentons la modélisation multiéchelle qui fait suite à une étude expérimentale. Son objectif est double : comprendre la nature du comportement macroscopique observé et expliquer l'origine des endommagements susceptibles d'apparaître. L'étude expérimentale du matériau fait l'objet d'un premier article.
Detection of cosmic filaments using the Candy model

We propose to apply a marked point process to automatically delineate filaments of the large-scale structure in redshift catalogues. We illustrate the feasibility of the idea on an example of simulated catalogues, describe the procedure, and characterize the results. We find the distribution of the length of the filaments, and suggest how to use this approach to obtain other statistical characteristics of filamentary networks.

The proposed principle for understanding the urban fabric is based on considering the town as a set of complex objects, taking a systemic approach. Iterative geometric modelling and new world of shapes

Mes recherches ont pour cadre la modélisation géométrique pour la Conception Assistée par Ordinateur et la Synthèse d'images. Plus précisément, j'étudie les possibilités qu'offrent les procédés de construction itératifs basés sur le principe de la géométrie fractale. Partant du modèle IFS (Iterated Function System), nous avons montré qu'il est possible de modéliser des formes non conventionnelles et ainsi de donner accès à un nouvel univers de formes aux concepteurs, artistes et designers. Cette approche est notamment utilisée pour modéliser des surfaces plissées (comme pour la réalisation de coques en architecture) ou des surfaces rugueuses.
