AbstractUnder the Directive 2012/34/EU (21 November 2012) “the charges for … [rail] infrastructure … shall be set at the cost that is directly incurred as a result of operating the train service”. This charging rule is new for Baltic States’ railways, where due to the favorable geographic position a full cost application without detalization was possible. Zachodzi proces likwidacji linii i zawieszenia przewozów kolejowych. W kraju modernizowane są główne linie magistralne. Na modernizację składają się: wymiana torów, przebudowa trakcji elektrycznej i wprowadzenie nowoczesnych systemów sterowania ruchem i sygnalizacji (ECTS). A physically-based and distributed tool for modeling the hydrological and mechanical processes of shallow landslides

This work presents the capabilities of a model, i.e. the tRIBS-VEGGIE-Landslide, in two different versions, i.e. developed within a probabilistic framework and coupled with a root cohesion module. The probabilistic model treats geotechnical and soil retention curve parameters as random variables across the basin and estimates theoretical probability distributions of slope stability and the associated “factor of safety” commonly used to describe the occurrence of shallow landslides. The derived distributions are used to obtain the spatiotemporal dynamics of probability of failure, conditioned on soil moisture dynamics at each watershed location. We introduce a general class of second-order boundary value problems unifying application areas such as acoustics, electromagnetism, elastodynamics, quantum mechanics, and so on, into a single framework. This also enables us to solve wave propagation problems very efficiently with a single software system. The solution method precisely follows the conservation laws in finite-dimensional systems, whereas the constitutive relations are imposed approximately. Application of selected methods of black box for modelling the settleability process in wastewater treatment plant

The paper described how the results of measurement s of inflow wastewater temperature in the chamber, a degree of external and internal recirculation in the biological-mechanical wastewater treatment plan t (WWTP) in Cedzyna near Kielce, Poland, were used to make predictions of settleability of activated sludge. Three methods,namely: multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS), random forests (RF) and modified random forests (RF+ SOM) were employed to compute activated sludge settleability. The results of analysis indicate that modified random forests demonstrate the best predictive abilities.
