This study compared marginal microleakage of Class II cavities restored with bulk-fill resin (Filtek™ Bulk Fill) and conventional composite resin (Filtek™ Supreme XTE). Two standardized Class II cavities were prepared in forty extracted human molars. The gingival margin was located above the cemento-enamel junction for twenty molars (groups 1 and 2) and apically for the other twenty (groups 3 and 4) (n=20). Objectives: To evaluate the capacity of seven self-etching adhesives (SEAs) to demineralize ground enamel in comparison with traditional phosphoric acid etchant (PAE) using SEM and statistical analysis. Background This study compared the quality of marginal sealing in the gingival wall of class II preparations of two low-shirinkage resins of the bulk fill type with a conventional resin isolated or associated with a glass ionomer cement (GIC). Material and Methods Freshly extracted deciduous molars and a pulpal microcirculation model were used in the study. Effects of maxillary protraction determined by laser metrology

In this work we studied some of the main effects of the maxillary protraction orthopedic device. The initial dento-craniofacial reactions induced by maxillary protraction similar to that commonly employed in clinical practice are reported. The fringe counting holographic interferometry technique is used to measure displacements. The experiments were performed on a dried human skull; traction application points were situated over the permanent lateral incisors or over the first permanent molars.
