Exploring relations between Big Five personality traits and musical emotions embodied in spontaneous dance

We explored the hypothesis that musical emotions are embodied differentially by people according to their personality. Nine hundred and fifty two individuals completed the Big Five personality inventory. A subset of 60 participants were asked to spontaneously move to 30 short musical stimuli while being recorded with a motion-capture system. The musical stimuli were separately rated for perceived emotions. Embodied musical emotions were evaluated as the correlation between features derived from the motion-capture data and the mean ratings of perceived emotions. The Connection of Machiavellianism, Self-control and Induced Emotions with Solving Tasks

The presented research shows that there is a connection between Machiavellianism and the way of solving problem tasks in the situations of inducing chosen emotions. The results obtained in this research show that Machiavellians are characterised by the self-control of the stop type and that the induction of emotions has not such a connection with solving tasks by them as it is in case of people with a low level of Machiavellianism. Moreover, it has been shown that people with high Machiavellianism do not trust other people and are focused on the maximization of profit.

Promotional activities in the field of taxation have as main objective to influence the fiscal behavior of taxpayers. Fiscal policy promotion involves a set of actions to boost a free consent of taxpayers to pay tax liabilities. Tax institutions are interested in creating a favorable attitude of taxpayers towards taxes. Communication between taxpayers and public institutions is vital because tax administration should assure taxpayers’ information about its existence and mission. Starting with these premises, the paper presents some current techniques of promotion used by Romanian public institutions to promote their image among taxpayers.

Abstract This study investigated how perceived school climate affects teachers' job satisfaction and burnout and how self-efficacy and collective efficacy in behavior management mediate the effect of perceived school climate on job satisfaction and burnout. The questions were answered using longitudinal questionnaire data collected from 642 Finnish lower secondary school teachers. A structural equation model revealed that school climate had a positive effect, partly mediated by self-efficacy, on job satisfaction. Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin nuoren ja vanhemman temperamenttiyhdistelmiä sekä niiden yhteyttä nuoren sosioemotionaaliseen kehitykseen. Tutkimus on osa syksyllä 2013 käynnistynyttä TIKAPUU – Alakoulusta yläkouluun -tutkimushanketta, jossa on mukana noin 55 luokkaa Jyväskylän ja Jämsän alueelta. Tämä tutkimusaineisto (N=607) koostuu nuorten ja vanhempien aineistoista, jotka kerättiin syksyn 2014 aikana nuorten ollessa kuudennella luokalla.
