El objetivo del presente trabajo está encaminado al estudio de las variaciones de oligoelementos en la concha de un gasterópodo de agua dulce del género Melanopsis (U dufouri (FERUSSAC), con dos morfotipos) y si éstas tienen que ver, o no, con la fluctuación de una serie de parámetros ambientales. La importancia del trabajo radica en la posibilidad de la aplicación paleoecológica de sus resultados, ya que el género MelanopsÍs tiene un abundante registro fósil durante todo el Cenozoico. Purpose: The recurrence of a lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is a common cause of poor outcome following lumbar discectomy. The aim of this study was to assess a potential relationship between the incidence of recurrent LDH and the surgical technique used. TP53 mutations and S-phase fraction but not DNA-ploidy are independent prognostic indicators in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma

To prospectively evaluate the prognostic significance of TP53, H-, K-, and N-Ras mutations, DNA-ploidy and S-phase fraction (SPF) in patients affected by locally advanced laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). Eight-one patients (median follow-up was 71 months) who underwent resective surgery for primary operable locally advanced LSCC were analyzed. Tumor DNA was screened for mutational analysis by PCR/SSCP and sequencing. DNA-ploidy and SPF were performed by flow cytometric analyses. Se trató de un estudio instrumental basado en el análisis de la estructura factorial y la fiabilidad de un cuestionario para evaluar virtudes percibidas en escuelas (VPOE); y, de un estudio descriptivo transversal que analizó diferencias por sexo, rol y tipo de organizaciones escolares con relación a las virtudes percibidas.
