Background: The aim of this study was to analyse the nutraceutical properties of table green olives Nocellara del Belice, a traditional Mediterranean food. The Mediterranean Diet has as key elements olives and extra virgin olive oil, common to all Mediterranean countries. Mitochondrial dysfunction plays an important role in the etiology of age-related muscle atrophy known as sarcopenia. PGC-1α is positioned at the center of crosstalk in regulating mitochondrial quality control, but its role in mitophagy in aged skeletal muscle is currently unclear. The Early Indicators of Functional Decrease in Mild Cognitive Impairment

OBJECTIVES: Motor deficiency is associated with cognitive frailty in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairments (MCI). In this study we aimed to test the integrity of the muscle synergy involved in an arm-pointing movement in MCI patients, non-impaired functionally. Thus, we were able to test the hypothesis that early motor indicators exist in this population at a preclinical level.
