El presente trabajo analiza fundamentalmente la intensa trayectoria del arquitecto y académico Cristóbal Sales Gutiérrez en la ciudad de Valencia durante su larga etapa como primer arquitecto de su Consistorio. Precisamente el edificio sede de esta institución es objeto de especial estudio bajo su dirección, así como de los casi treinta años posteriores a la muerte de Sales hasta resolverse la demolición de su señera fábrica. El estudio se completa con aportaciones biográficas, tales como su enlace matrimonial y su testamento.

Noves aportacions al catàleg d’exemplars tipus de la col·lecció malacològica del Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona S’amplia el catàleg d’exemplars tipus de mol·luscs del Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona, publicat l’any 2008, amb nou material corresponent a 42 tàxons de mol·luscs continentals de la península Ibèrica, les illes Balears i les Canàries. La majoria d’espècimens pertanyen a les col·leccions històriques del Museu o a la col·lecció malacològica de Miquel Bech, donada a la institució el 2009. Säilytyspäätöksiä, kuten hankintoja, seulontaa ja poistoja tehdessään museot ja arkistot joutuvat määrittelemään erilaisten aineistojen arvoa, minkä seurauksena tietyistä objekteista ja asiakirjoista tulee osa pysyvästi säilytettävää kulttuuriperintöä. Remembering and Forgetting, Discovering and Cherishing : Engagements with material culture of war in Finnish Lapland

The Second World War left considerable material remains in Finnish Lapland, ranging from remnants of structures destroyed in the 1944–45 Lapland War, through to small artefacts connected to soldiers, prisoners of war and civilians. These material remains have variously been saved and cherished by survivors and their families, forgotten or disregarded as ‘war junk’, ‘discovered’ by hobbyists, amassed and exchanged by private collectors, and/or accessioned into official museum collections. These various processes represent engagements with material culture of war that take on various meanings and embodiments, depending on the different individuals and organizations involved.We have conducted …
