Il contributo intende considerare il rapporto tra musica e potere attraverso una delle più importanti istituzioni del vicereame spagnolo nella penisola italiana, la Cappella Reale di San Pietro, comunemente nota come Cappella Palatina. La partecipazione alle grandi cerimonie di stato di Sei e Settecento, in particolare funerali e autodafé, sottolinea il ruolo dei musicisti della Palatina nel consolidare l’immagine del viceré e dell’identità regia in un contesto geograficamente lontano. Le entrate e le rispettive incoronazioni a Palermo di Vittorio Amedeo II di Savoia e Carlo III di Borbone sono state analizzate sotto diversi punti di vista. Tuttavia gli aspetti musicali sono stati finora poco considerati, se non a margine di studi più generali sulla vita musicale palermitana. Il presente contributo è riservato in modo specifico alla cornice sonora dei due eventi, dimostrando come questa costituisse un elemento essenziale al funzionamento della festa e al soddisfacimento dei suoi scopi. All’interno della vasta produzione teatrale di Giacinto Andrea Cicognini (1606- 1649), i drammi per musica occupano un luogo privilegiato, nonostante siano solamente quattro (Celio, Giasone, Orontea, Gli Amori di Alessandro e Rossane) e tutti ascrivibili agli ultimi anni di vita del drammaturgo (1646-1649). Malgrado il numero sia esiguo rispetto ad altri librettisti del secondo Seicento, i libretti di Cicognini fissano un modello nel quale tragico e comico, stile alto e stile basso, lamento patetico e lazzo osceno si mescolano perfettamente. International audience; When presented with emotional visual scenes, older adults have been found to be equally capable to regulate emotion expression as younger adults, corroborating the view that emotion regulation skills are maintained or even improved in later adulthood. Music practice since childhood affects the development of hearing skills. An important classification in Western music is the chords’ major-minor dichotomy. Its preattentive auditory discrimination was studied here using a mismatch negativity (MMN) paradigm in 13-year-olds with active hobbies, music-related (music group) or other (control group). In a context of root major chords, root minor chords and inverted major chords were presented infrequently.
