Introduction: This working paper examines the impact of the Ethiopian Muslims in the diaspora on socio-political processes in the homeland, with a special focus on their activities that have a bearing on peace-building. Within the DIASPEACE the research project falls within Working Package 3 (WP3) that focuses on the economic, social and political remittances of the diaspora from the Horn of Africa in Europe to their respective homelands. Tämä tutkielma tarkastelee suomalaisten, islamiin kääntyneiden naisten haastattelutilanteessa välittyviä diskursiivisia ja kehollisia uskon ilmentämismuotoja. Pro gradun tutkimuskysymys on: Miten haastateltavat haastatteluaineiston perusteella rakentavat yhteyttä islam-yhteisöön ja eroa valtakulttuuriin a) diskursiivisten ja b) kehollisten käytänteiden kautta? Pääaineistona toimii vuonna 2013 kerätty haastatteluaineisto. Aineisto on analysoitu käyttämällä metodeina teoreettista sisällönanalyysia ja ontologista konstruktionismia. Artikkelen belyser unge muslimer og kristnes forhandling av kjønn i migrantmenigheter: 1) Hvordan forhandler unge muslimer og kristne forventningene knyttet til kjønn, forbundet med religiøse klesdrakter og kjønnsdelte arbeidsoppgaver? Og 2), hva kan ungdommenes oppfatninger av religiøse koder og kjønnsdelte arbeidsoppgaver fortelle om symbolsk grensedragning mellom deres tilhørighet til en minoritetsgruppe og tilhørighet til majoritetssamfunnet? Data består av 23 kvalitative intervjuer med tenåringer og unge voksne i alderen 16–35 år. This social, political and cultural fact is new. It reveals a radical change in historical representation where for centuries, only the victorious hero was celebrated in official history. This qualitative study aims to analyse the worldview that emerges in the textbooks of Turkish imam and preacher high schools (úmam hatip lisesi). The study material consists of eight textbooks that belong to the vocational religious education of Turkish imams. All of the textbooks were published around 2010. In this study, theoretical considerations regarding the essence of worldview (Weltanschauung) are summarized into an existential model of worldview (EKMA). The model provides two viewpoints from which to understand the worldview under study.
