Flexible Data Driven Inventory Management with Interactive Multiobjective Lot Size Optimization

We study data-driven decision support and formalise a path from data to decision making. We focus on lot sizing in inventory management with stochastic demand and propose an interactive multi-objective optimisation approach. We forecast demand with a Bayesian model, which is based on sales data. After identifying relevant objectives relying on the demand model, we formulate an optimisation problem to determine lot sizes for multiple future time periods. Muuttuvan ilmastopolitiikan myötä syntyy uusia velvoitteita kansainvälisen, kansallisen, maakunnallisen ja kunnallisen tason ilmastopolitiikkaan. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa selvitettiin uusimpiin voimassa oleviin ja tulossa oleviin ilmastosopimuksiin, strategioihin ja ohjeistuksiin maakunnallisen, ja erityisesti Keski-Suomen ilmastostrategian ja sen keinovalikoiman kehittämisen näkökulmasta. Lisäksi tarkasteltiin Keski-Suomen kasvihuonekaasupäästömäärien kehittymistä vuosista 2004 ja 2006 vuoteen 2014 sekä vuoden 2020 ennusteita. Tarkastelut tehtiin sektorikohtaisesti. Abstract The Anthropocene has become an umbrella term for the disastrous transgression of ecological safety boundaries by human societies. The impact of this new reality is yet to be fully registered by political theorists. In an attempt to recalibrate the categories of political thought, this article brings Hannah Arendt’s framework of The Human Condition (labor, work, action) into the gravitational pull of the Anthropocene and current knowledge about the Earth System. A computer‐based Pinyin intervention for disadvantaged children in China : Effects on Pinyin skills, phonological awareness, and character reading

Pinyin is an alphabetic script that denotes pronunciations of Chinese characters. Studies have shown that Pinyin instruction enhances both phonological awareness (e.g., Shu et al., Developmental Science, 2008, 11, 171–181) and character reading (e.g., Lin et al., Psychological Science, 2010, 21, 1117–1122) in Chinese children. In the present study, we provided a 3‐week Pinyin intervention with a computer‐based Pinyin GraphoGame to disadvantaged migrant children with poor Pinyin skills.
