Pieśni chóru pod skreśleniem w "Zawiszy Czarnym" Juliusza Słowackiego

2019

The manuscript of the drama about Zawisza Czarny (unreleased during the poet’s life) is divided in editions and critical analyzes into two, three or four editorials in which individual scenes sometimes obtained more than one study. There are significant differences between the various editorial regarding the construction of the presented world, which is evidenced by the condition and function of the choir, present only in two out of four editors (C and D) and in different studies of one episode (D, C2 and C1). The choir (Chorus) once remains merely a retinue of the powerful spirit of the mythical Wanda (D), other times it shortens its distance from the characters and may even join their dia…

"Obce ciało" - Krzysztofa Zanussiego dotknięcie mistyki

2016

Protagoniści doświadczają obecności bądź nieobecności Boga (Deus absconditus): Włoch Angelo, początkowo pewny swej wiary, przeżywa poważne wątpliwości, gdy jego bliska przyjaciółka Kasia postanawia wstąpić do klasztoru. Adam, walczący o życie ciężko chorego ojca,…

Actualidad de la filosofía In-sistencial: el personalismo comunitario In-sistencial de Ismael Quiles SJ

2016

This text presents the proposal of In-sistencial philosophy developed by Ismael Quiles, analyzing various aspects. The first is to place Quiles in the philosophical and historical context, analyzing his intellectual formation in Spain and in his exile in Argentina, seeing the stages of his thought. Secondly, I see Quiles relations with existentialism of Heidegger, Sartre and Gabriel Marcel. Third, I try to justify that his thinking belongs to the current communitarian personalism, but not shed Buber’s Jewish orientation, but Christian. Lastly argue that despite his adherence to Christianity, we can not consider him just as a Christian philosopher, but as a philosopher who, influenced by Eas…

François Le Lionnais and the Oulipo. The Unexpected Role of Mathematics in Literature

2020

“The true spirit of delight, the exaltation, the sense of being more than Man, which is the touchstone of the highest excellence, is to be found in mathematics as surely as poetry” (Bertrand Russel, Mysticism and Logic, 1910). This sentence, quoted by François Le Lionnais in his work La Beauté en Mathématiques in [1], reflects his conception of a deep bond between mathematics and literature. He had a multifaceted education and was an erudite and founder of the Oulipo with Raymond Queneau. Even though he was neither a “professional” mathematician nor a “professional” man of letters but only an épicurien passionné as he defined himself [2],1 while alive, he channelled his interests in the the…

Co łączy "Wędrowca nad morzem chmur" i "Kobietę w oknie" - bohaterów płócien Caspara Davida Friedricha

2020

The author attempts to interpret two paintings by Caspar David Friedrich with the motif of the hero turned with the back to the spectator. The former is one of his most renown works entitled Wanderer above the Sea of Fog also known as Wanderer Above the Mist, the latter, a slightly later work Woman at a Window – the example of a frequently used open widow motif in the iconography of Romanticism. The differences that decide on the meaning of these two canvases – as the author argues – is the gender of the created personas and the place from which they perceive the world.

The oceanic state: a conceptual elucidation in terms of modal contact

2012

Despite its lengthy history in psychoanalysis, the psychological origins, essential features and value of the oceanic state remain open to dispute. This ambiguity has come at a cost to the clarity of theoretical discussions on the topic. In working towards a conceptual elucidation, the author maintains that there are three primary accounts of the oceanic state: the metaphysical one of Romain Rolland, the developmental one of Sigmund Freud, and the cognitive-perceptual one of Anton Ehrenzweig. Based on the notion of modal contact, he argues that the accounts share a general theoretical structure that establishes as the necessary criterion for all oceanic states the loosening of ego boundarie…

Transcendentalism, mysticism and imagination in the poetic discourse of Jones Very, Wallace Stevens and Stanley Cavell

2019
