The site of Cagny on the "Plaine de Caen" was excavated from February to July 2008 and was the first site in Lower Normandy to reap the benefits of large sacle mechanical earth moving, the entire site being revealed over 13.6 acres. Beyond the two enclosures identified during a prior archaeological evaluation, this strategy, prescribed by the Ministry of Culture and Communication's archeological service in Lower-Normandy, resulted in the detection of unexpected remains and occupations. International audience; Plus d'un millier de restes animaux ont été recueillis dans vingt-deux inhumations, dix-sept crémations et six sépultures au rite indéterminé. Deux espèces se distinguent par leur fréquence, le porc et la volaille. Le bœuf et les caprinés sont moins fréquents, alors que le cheval, le chien, l'oie et l'ours sont rares. La plupart des porcs sont très jeunes, avec notamment des sujets périnataux. Ils sont souvent déposés sous forme d'épaules, de jambons ou de séries de côtes. This article describes the result of ten or so fairly limited preventive archaeology operations (surveillance of works, diagnostics not followed up with excavations) carried out over the last ten years that have nonetheless finalised knowledge of several deposits from Late Antiquity in Autun located intra muros but also outside the walls. The works have enabled us to renew our knowledge of the reduced enclosure and of three Late Antiquity necropolises, to discover the remains of a lime kiln from the end of the 4th century at the centre of a public zone (perhaps the forum), and lastly to point up the difficulties of interpretation of an occupation of two zones from the end of the 4th century…

Cet article porte sur huit pièces à base de cuivre – deux haches plates et six poignards – provenant de la zone sous-pyrénéenne orientale (Corbières, Haute Vallée de l’Aude, Pays d’OImes), dans les départements de l’Aude et de l’Ariège de l’Est (région de Lavelanet). Elles sont décrites et replacées dans leur contexte typochronologique, alors que les aspects technoéconomiques sont envisagés via la composition métallique (composition élémentaire et rapports isotopiques du plomb). Cinq objets en cuivre – deux haches et trois poignards – sont attribués au Chalcolithique. The archaeological excavation undertaken in 2006 by the Institut national de recherches archéologiques preventives (Inrap) at the site “Le Clos des Tourelles” in Hombourg-Budange (Moselle, France) unearthed a Gallo-Roman tilery. It situated close to a medieval site, the initial target of the excavation project. The time span of the Gallo-Roman occupation cannot be stated with accuracy; only its abandonment can be dated to be later than 250 AD. The remains of the tilery are assembling a kiln, drains, a hall, a well, and, among other features, a small building.
