Diclofenac effects in sea urchin gametes and fertilization

The drugs, agents for diseases therapy and prevention, are ubiquitous environmental pollutants. We analyzed a specific anti-inflammatory, diclofenac, present in soil and water. The study focused on Arbacia lixula (Linnaeus, 1758) and Paracentrotus lividus (Lamarck, 1816) reproductive success. In A. lixula we identified the drug qualitative and quantitative fertilization effects, and if they affect the functional male and female gametes capacity; in P. lividus we analyzed the drug effects and the male and female gametes quantitative integrity. Our objectives were to determine if there is a release of IL-6 after surgical removal of lower third molars and to compare the amount of IL-6 in patients treated with NSAID and in those treated with glucocorticoids. We did a prospective study on 73 patients who attended the Oral Surgery Unit (Department of Medicine and Oral Surgery) in the Faculty of Odontology of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid for the surgical removal of their lower third molars. Objetivo: Comparar la eficacia analgésica de la metilprednisolona (corticoide) versus diclofenaco (antiinflamatorio no esteroideo-AINE-) tras la cirugía del tercer molar inferior. Diseño del estudio: Estudio prospectivo sobre 73 pacientes sometidos a la extracción quirúrgica de los terceros molares inferiores. Fueron divididos de forma aleatoria en dos grupos: De diclofenaco y de metilprednisolona. Bakalaura darba tēma ir veltīta Latvijas un Vācijas Nacionālo bibliotēku digitalizācijas projektiem un atmiņas kultūras sekmēšanai. Darbā ir vispārīgi un no atmiņas kultūras aspekta pētīti digitalizācijas projekti Latvijas un Vācijas Nacionālajās bibliotēkās, kā arī secinātas atšķirības, kopīgais un ar digitalizāciju saistītās problēmas. Analīzē īpaša uzmanība ir pievērsta atmiņas kultūras apakštipiem upura un pārkāpēja atmiņu konstrukcijām un kā šis aspekts atsaucas uz Vāciju un Latviju. Pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka atmiņas kultūras ietekme abu Nacionālo bibliotēku projektos ir būtisks faktors, bet Latvijā atmiņas kultūra ir vel attīstības stadijā. Digitālo kolekciju veidošana Latvijas muzejos

Nacionālā muzeju krājuma digitalizācija Latvijā ir salīdzinoši jauns temats, tāpēc par to nav vēl veiktu pētījumu. Darba mērķis ir analizēt un uzzināt, kādas ir galvenās problēmas krājuma digitalizēšanas procesā, kādus sarežģījumus rada digitālo objektu integrēšana NMKK, un kāds ir muzeju krājuma digitalizācijas process. Pētījuma teorētisko bāzi veido „Kolekciju pārvaldības trijstūris” un „Digitalizācijas četri posmi”. Lai sasniegtu pētījuma mērķi, tika izmantotas kontentanalīzes kategorijas (balstītas uz Digitalizācijas četriem posmiem) un muzeju darbinieku interviju transkriptu kontentanalīze. The reports of French diplomats described their encounters with the most eminent families of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania: the Sapiehas and Radziwiłłs (the most powerful), the Pacs, Wiśniowieckis and Ogińskis.
