El artículo trata de veinte exámenes de maestro de "obra de hilo" valencianos que se conservan, de fechas 1508-1538. Consideradas trabajos menores dentro del capítulo de la platería, son joyas caracterizadas por su decoración de alambre superpuesto. Una peculiaridad de estos exámenes es que las piezas no se dibujaron, sino que se estamparon tras ennegrecerlas, por lo que se conserva su impronta a tamaño real, además de la fecha de realización y el nombre de sus autores. Formando parte de los estudios encaminados al conocimiento del parasitismo intestinal en la población infantil nicaragüense, la presente Tesis Doctoral tiene como objetivo básico abordar el parasitismo intestinal en los diferentes Departamentos que conforman la Región Pacífico, excepción hecha del Departamento de Managua. Para ello se ha estudiado coproparasitológicamente un total de 1881 sujetos (939 niños y 942 niñas), de edades comprendidas entre 0 y 15 años, procedentes de los Departamentos de Chinandega, León, Masaya, Carazo, Granada y Rivas. Limits on neutral Higgs boson production in the forward region in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV

Limits on the cross-section times branching fraction for neutral Higgs bosons, produced in p p collisions at root s = 7 TeV, and decaying to two tau leptons with pseudorapidities between 2.0 and 4.5, are presented. The result is based on a dataset, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector. Candidates are identified by reconstructing final states with two muons, a muon and an electron, a muon and a hadron, or an electron and a hadron. A model independent upper limit at the 95% confidence level is set on a neutral Higgs boson cross-section times branching fraction. Many therapeutic regimens, differing in dose and duration, have been employed in the treatment of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. This study presents the results from a regimen of hCG plus hMG plus testosterone combined treatment in 15 patients affected by selective hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. The patients were homogeneous in age (16–23 years), testicular size, aspermia, absence of prior hormonal treatment, and normal karyotype. They were administered 5000 IU of hCG plus 75 IU of hMG twice a week for two months and a single dose of depo-testosterone (250 mg) in the third month. Testicular tumors in childhood: a national report

The authors report preliminary data of an Italian multicentric, retrospective study of primary testicular tumors (PTT) in childhood involving 20 Italian departments of pediatric surgery. Forty cases of PTT were observed during a 10-year period (1977–1987), with yolk-sac tumors being the most frequent (45%). Most testicular tumors were first perceived as a unilateral testicular mass. Scrotal ultrasonography represents the main diagnostic investigation, together with serum marker levels.

Die seltenen primaren extragonadalen Seminome sind mit in die Differentialdiagnose des unklaren Mediastinaltumors einzubeziehen. Die Symptomatik ist uncharakteristisch, die Diagnose wird in den meisten Fallen durch eine Thoracotomie bzw. Sternotomie gestellt. Therapeutisch steht das chirurgische Vorgehen mit kurativer Zielsetzung oder palliativer Tumorverkleinerung im Vordergrund. Bei makroskopisch vollstandig entferntem Tumor ist die Nachbestrahlung des Mediastinums zu diskutieren, bei metastasierendem Tumor sollte postoperativ eine Chemotherapie mit Cisplatin enthaltenden Kombinationen durchgefuhrt werden.

This paper presents the efforts that have been made during the development of a set of harbour training simulators to improve their quality. The paper focuses on two main research lines: the improvement of complex physical systems involved in the simulation and the analysis of hardware architecture solutions. Cable-based hoist systems and bulk materials are systems present in different harbour equipment and are usually simulated with poor quality due to their complexity.
