Background: Acute pericarditis is an inflammatory condition causing the occurrence of pericardial effusion. In a third of patients, the disease is recurrent. Most of the cases are idiopathic or occur after a pericardial procedure. First line treatment of idiopathic pericarditis consists in NSAIDs and colchicine; glucocorticoids represent the second line treatment in resistant or intolerant cases. The use of different biologics and immunosoppressant has been reported, with variable responses. Athletes extract kinematic information to anticipate action outcomes. Here, we examined the influence of linguistic information (experiment 1, 2) and its underlying neural correlates (experiment 2) on anticipatory judgment. Table tennis experts and novices remembered a hand- or leg-related verb or a spatial location while predicting the trajectory of a ball in a video occluded at the moment of the serve. Experiment 1 showed that predictions by experts were more accurate than novices, but experts’ accuracy significantly decreased when hand-related words versus spatial locations were memorized. Many partial order methods use some special condition for ensuring that the analysis is not terminated prematurely. In the case of stubborn set methods for safety properties, implementation of the condition is usually based on recognizing the terminal strong components of the reduced state space and, if necessary, expanding the stubborn sets used in their roots. A few studies have reported the safety profile of interleukin (IL)-1 blockers from real life. The aim of this study is to describe anakinra (ANA) and canakinumab (CAN) safety profile in children and adults, based on data from a real-life setting. Demographic, clinical, and therapeutic data from patients treated with ANA and CAN were retrospectively collected and analyzed. Four hundred and seventy five patients were enrolled; ANA and CAN were prescribed in 421 and 105 treatment courses, respectively. Search for heavy neutral lepton production in K+ decays to positrons

A search for heavy neutral lepton ($N$) production in $K^+\to e^+N$ decays using the data sample collected by the NA62 experiment at CERN in 2017--2018 is reported. Upper limits of the extended neutrino mixing matrix element $|U_{e4}|^2$ are established at the level of $10^{-9}$ over most of the accessible heavy neutral lepton mass range 144--462 MeV/$c^2$, with the assumption that the lifetime exceeds 50 ns. These limits improve significantly upon those of previous production and decay searches. The $|U_{e4}|^2$ range favoured by Big Bang Nucleosynthesis is excluded up to a mass of about 340 MeV/$c^2$.

Benzpinakona un tā piemaisījumu sadalīšana ar apgrieztās fāzes augsti efektīvo šķidrumu hromatogrāfiju. Ernstsons A., darba zinātniskā vadītāja doktorante Mg. chem. Rotkāja.O. bakalaura darbs, 35 lappuses, 21 attēls, 4 tabulas, 27 atsauces, 2 pielikumi. Latviešu valodā. Lai izstrādātu metodi benzpinakona un tā piemaisījumu sadalīšanai ar apgrieztās fāzes augsti efektīvo šķidrumu hromatogrāfiju eksperimentālajā daļā tika izmantotas divas kolonnas YMC Pack C8 un Cosmosil C18-MSII un divas kustīgās fāzes acetonitrils/ūdens, metanols/ūdens. Eksperimentu rezultātā tika noskaidrots, ka benzpinakona un tā piemaisījumu sadalīšanai piemērotāka ir Cosmosil C18-MSII kolonna un kustīgā fāze metanols/ūd…
