Following short-term culture, Langerhans cells mature morphologically and functionally into potent immunostimulatory cells. As regulation of gene expression accompanies this maturation process, it is likely that differentially expressed genes are involved in the maturation events. Using the recently described method of differential display, we generated cDNA expression patterns starting with mRNA of murine epidermal Langerhans cells isolated either directly (fLC) or following 3 d cultivation (cLC). Tailoring of the solid state properties of Al-Nb mixed oxides: A photoelectrochemical study

Al-Nb containing mixed oxides were grown by anodizing sputter-deposited Al-Nb alloys of different compositions. A photoelectrochemical investigation was carried out in order to estimate the band gap, flat band potential, and conductivity type of these oxides as a function of their composition. The dependence of the band gap on the composition of mixed sp-d metal oxides has been rationalized by using a semiempirical correlation between the difference of electronegativity and band gap of oxides proposed in the literature some years ago and recently tested for regular d-d metal mixed oxides. This paper confirms that Spanish regions in 2015 were closer to the EU average in labour productivity than in 2000, but further away from the richest regions such as Île de France. A dynamic shift-share analysis at a 10-industry level of disaggregation shows that the main driver of convergence with the EU average is catch-up in labour productivity within the same industry, while disparities with the top regions (especially Île de France) mainly involve differences in patterns of specialization (between-industry divergence) followed by technological divergence (within-industry effect). The molecular and supramolecular structures of [Cu(PTM)Cl2]*0.75MeOH (1), [Co(PTM)Cl2]; (2A) and [Co(PTM)Cl2(EtOH)]; (2B) complexes, where PTM is 4,4’-[6-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diyl]dimorpholine, were presented. In complexes 1 and 2A, the Cu(II) and Co(II) are tetra-coordinated with a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment. In case of complex 2B, an additional ethanol molecule is found coordinated with Co(II) leading to a highly distorted penta-coordinated Co(II) complex. In all cases, the PTM ligand is acting as a bidentate NN-chelate. Hirshfeld surface analysis indicated the importance of H⋯H (49.0–55.1%), Cl⋯H (18.8–20.5%) and O⋯H (8.3–9.9%) contacts in…
