International audience; Motor imagery (MI) has received a lot of interest during the last decades as its chronic or acute use has demonstrated several effects on improving sport performances or skills. The development of neuroimagery techniques also helped further our understanding of the neural correlates underlying MI. Maģistra darbā ir pētītas metaforas par Eiropas Savienību laikrakstā “Diena” no 2015. gada 1.janvāra līdz 30. jūnijam – Latvijas prezidentūras Eiropas Savienības padomē laikā, nolūkā izzināt metaforu lietojuma praksi drukātajā medijā un biežāk sastopamos metaforu izmantojuma gadījumus un īpatnības. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine salespersons’ adoption and usage of mobile sales configuration tools (MSCT) and to identify areas for further development in this realm. Dotais pētījums tiek veltīts metaforu kā krāsas koncepta tulkojuma problēmai Gundegas Repšes romānā „Sarkans”. Autora uzmanības centrā – daiļdarba tekstā realizētās konceptuālas krāsu metaforas un to ekvivalenta tulkojuma problēma. Par pētījuma mērķi kalpo krāsu metaforu literāras tulkošanas konceptuāla aspekta problēmas atklāšana. Darbam piemīt starpdisciplinārs raksturs, tāpēc tas var vienādi ieinteresēt gan filologus, gan tulkotājus, kā arī pārējos, kuri interesējas par latviešu rakstnieces Gundegas Repšes daiļradi.

Maģistra darbs "Ekonomiskās krīzes metaforika Spānijas un Latvijas presē. Salīdzinošā analīze" ir veltīts konceptuālās metaforas fenomenam politiskajā diskursā ekonomiskās krīzes kontekstā. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, vai Latvijas un Spānijas presē ir novērojamas līdzīgas tendences metaforas lietojumā, atspoguļojot neseno (2008-2013) ekonomisko krīzi abās valstīs, un kas ir kopīgs abiem avotiem. This paper aims at showing the analogies between Hans Blumenberg’s Metaphorology and George Lakoff & Mark Johnson’s Conceptual Metaphor Theory. This study examines how the concepts related to visual art practice and well-being have been used in the arts and academic sectors. Furthermore, it studies whether it is possible to create a new theoretical and conceptual framework for research. The research material of the arts and academic sectors was examined by the methods of critical review and conceptual analysis.
