International audience; The response of photosynthetic activity to interannual rainfall variations in Africa South of the Sahara is examined using 20 years (1981-2000) of Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) AVHRR data. Linear correlations and regressions were computed between annual NDVI and annual rainfall at a 0.5° latitude/longitude resolution, based on two gridded precipitation datasets (Climate Prediction Center Merged Analysis of Precipitation [CMAP] and Climatic Research Unit [CRU]). [EN] This paper introduces the Time Series Simulation for Benchmarking of Reconstruction Techniques (TISSBERT) dataset, intended to provide a benchmark for the validation and comparison of time series reconstruction methods. Such methods are routinely used to estimate vegetation characteristics from optical remotely sensed data, where the presence of clouds decreases the usefulness of the data. As for their validation, these methods have been compared with previously published ones, although with different approaches, which sometimes lead to contradictory results. Mutispectral imaging systems are widely used in remote sensing for Precision Viticulture. In this work, this technique was applied in the proximal sensing context to characterize vine foliage. A mobile terrestrial experimental system is presented, composed of a GPS receiver, a multi-spectral camera acquiring visible and near infrared images, and a Greenseeker RT-100 which measures the Normalized Difference Vegetative Index (NDVI). This optical system observes vine foliage in the trellis plan, in natural sunlight. The experimental field is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier cultivars in a latin squared pattern. Maģistra darba tēma ir veģetācijas attīstības dinamikas analīze, izmantojot normalizēto veģetācijas indeksu. Darbā tiek apskatīta normalizētā veģetācijas indeksa (NDVI) nozīme zemes seguma pētījumos. Maģistra darbā analizēti dati par 2014. un 2015. gada pavasara sezonas kviešu veģetācijas atttīstību. Tiek raksturota veģetācijas attīstības dinamika, kas izteikta NDVI indeksa vērtībās, kā arī analizēta meteoroloģisko rādītāju (vidējā gaisa temperatūra un saules spīdēšanas ilgums) ietekme uz veģetācijas attīstību. Pierādīts, ka vidējai gaisa temperatūrai ir būtiska ietekme uz 2014. un 2015. gada veģetācijas attīstību, savukārt saules spīdēšanas ilguma nozīmīga ietekme konstatēta tikai 2014. ga…
