Angina bullosa hemorrhagica (ABH) is a rare oral disorder characterized by blood-filled bullous lesions in the oral cavity and the oropharynx in the absence of an underlying systemic, haematological or mucocutaneous condition. The presentation of the lesions is acute and located on the lining mucosa, mainly on the soft palate. Often, these lesions are single and rupture easily leaving an ulcerated area. In this study, we present 4 ABH cases in 3 women and 1 man and we discuss the main clinicopathological characteristics. The intraosseous mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a rare lesion that frequently affects the posterior region of the mandible. This case reports a multilocular osteolytic radiolucency with two years of evolution, that expanded and perforated the cortical bone, with irregular and indefinite margins, that extended from the mandibular angle to the ascendant ramus, with cutaneous ulceration, detected in a 51 years-old male. Melanoma of the oral mucosa with cerebral metastasis: a clinical case

Summary Oral melanoma (OM) is an infrequent neoplasia making up less than 1% of all melanomas, and which exhibits a much more aggressive behaviour than those found on the skin. We present a case of OM located on the hard palate, vestibular alveolar gingiva of the maxilla, and upper lip in a 75-year-old patient who developed a distant metastasis on the left parietal lobe. The advanced stage of the disease contraindicated any surgical intervention and it was decided to carry out palliative radiotherapy, but the patient died before treatment.

AIM OF THE STUDY The results from 56 patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head who underwent 66 uncemented total hip replacements were analyzed and compared with current reports in the literature on cemented endoprosthesis. METHODS In the retrospective study in 30 of those cases the Zweymuller and in 25 cases the HA-coated ABG prosthesis were used. Osteoporosis is very common, particularly in post-menopausal women and is characterized by a decrease in bone mass and strength. Osteoporosis also affects the jawbone and it is considered a potential contraindication to placement of dental implants. The present paper reviews the literature regarding the effect of osteoporosis on osseointegration of implants. Experimental models have shown that osteoporosis affects the process of osseointegration, which can be reversed by treatment.
