In this paper we conceptualize formative peer feedback principles by analyzing and comparing six empirical examples of formative peer feedback in a set of international STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) contexts. Vertaisarviointi on Suomen peruskoulussa nuori ja lähes tutkimaton käytäntö, joka mainitaan ensimmäisen kerran vuonna 2016 voimaan astuneessa opetussuunnitelmassa. Väitöstutkimuksessani tarkastelin, miten 7. ja 8. luokkien oppilaat toteuttivat formatiivista vertaisarviointia fysiikan ja kemian opinnoissaan. Tulokset osoittavat, että rakentava vertaisarviointi vaatii oppilailta palauteosaamista ja toimijuutta, mutta tarjoaa myös mahdollisuuksia kehittää niitä. How Do Lower-Secondary Students Exercise Agency During Formative Peer Assessment?

Exercising agency is an inherent component of peer assessment. However, the research on agency in peer assessment is scarce. This case study explored how seventh grade science students exercised agency during formative peer assessment. The data comprises audio recordings of students’ classroom discussions, written peer feedback, written work, student interviews, and the researcher’s field notes. With thematic analysis, we identified nine forms of agency as associated with three positions: group member, assessor, and assessee. Performance analysis of Latvian zenith camera

Since finalizing of design in 2016, the digital zenith camera of the University of Latvia was involved in a number of test observations as well as field observations at about 70 different sites. The paper presents analysis of observation results, estimation of instrument’s performance and accuracy. Random and systematic error sources are outlined. Impact of anomalous refraction on vertical deflection determination is discussed. Results of adaptation of GAIA reference star catalog for astrometric data reduction are reported.

Tutkielmassa käydään läpi vesianalyysin vaiheita sekä menetelmiä, ja niitä tarkastellaan yliopisto-opintoihin soveltuvuuden pohjalta. Tämän lisäksi työssä esitellään projektioppimisen menetelmä, jota tarkastellaan opetuksen ja oppimisen lähtökohdista. Tutkielman pohjalta luotiin projektioppimiseen pohjautuva analyyttisen kemian laboratoriotyö, jonka toteutus vastaa Jyväskylän yliopiston LuK-tutkinnossa asetettuihin tieteen opetuksen ja oppimisen tavoitteisiin. Kinetic evidence for the incorporation of the [(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) (2,2′-bipyridyl)(aquo)rhodium(III)] complex into DPPC vesicles

Abstract The binding of the [(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) (2,2′-bipyridyl)(aquo)rhodium(III)] complex [Cp*RhIII(bpy)H2O]2+, to l -α-dipalmitoylphosphatidyl choline (DPPC) vesicles has been estimated by studying the kinetics of the electron transfer reaction between the rhodium(III) complex and formiate ions. Kinetic measurements carried out under anaerobic conditions in absence and presence of DPPC show that the total reaction is composed of two steps. The rate of the first reaction increases with the phospholipid concentration, while that of the second process is independent of the concentration of DPPC. An international group of experts have developed a pictorial tool to measure perceived water competence for children aged from 5 to 8 years old: the Pictorial Scale of Perceived Water Competence (PSPWC). The aim of the present study was to verify the validity of this tool. In the first part of the study, 120 children were interviewed to investigate face validity of the PSPWC to ensure that all pictorial items were understandable.
