A limited feedback scheme based on spatially correlated channels for coordinated multipoint systems

High spectral efficiency can be achieved in the downlink of multi-antenna coordinated multi-point systems provided that the multiuser interference is appropriately managed at the transmitter side. For this sake, downlink channel information needs to be sent back by the users, thus reducing the rate available at the uplink channel. Photochemical generation of E' centres from Si-H in amorphous SiO2 under pulsed ultraviolet laser radiation

In situ optical absorption spectroscopy was used to study the generation of E' centres in amorphous SiO_2 occurring by photo-induced breaking of Si-H groups under 4.7eV pulsed laser radiation. The dependence from laser intensity of the defect generation rate is consistent with a two-photon mechanism for Si-H rupture, while the growth and the saturation of the defects are conditioned by their concurrent annealing due to reaction with mobile hydrogen arising from the same precursor. A rate equation is proposed to model the kinetics of the defects and tested on experimental data.

Types of online scams in social media. In this thesis, types of online scams in social media are examined first by defining online scams and then applying the principles of them to social media setting. The thesis is a literature review in which it was found that in social media there are similar types of scams than outside of it. These types of scams were phishing scams, scams related to social engineering malware attacks and 419 -scams. We consider the problem of mining gene expression data in order to single out interesting features that characterize healthy/unhealthy samples of an input dataset. We present and approach based on a network model of the input gene expression data, where there is a labelled graph for each sample. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to build a different graph for each sample and, then, to have a database of graphs for representing a sample set.
