The Effect of surface topographical changes of two different surface treatments rotary instrument

Background One of the major innovations in endodontics has been the introduction of nickel-titanium (NiTi) alloy. This study evaluated the surface topographical changes of two different surface treatments rotary instrument after instrumentation and sterilization. Comparison of working length control consistency between hand K-files and Mtwo NiTi rotary system

Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the consistency of working length control between hand instrumentation in comparison to engine driven Mtwo nickel-titanium rotary files. Material and Methods: Forty extracted maxillary molars were selected and divided onto two parallel groups. The working lengths of the mesiobuccal root canals were estimated. The teeth were fixed in a phantom head. Kaivostoiminnan aiheuttamat metallipäästöt ovat maailmanlaajuinen ympäristöongelma. Kaivospäästöjen takia metalleja pääsee luontoon ja eliöstöön biosaatavassa vesiliukoisessa muodossa kuten sulfaatteina tai klorideina. Nikkeli on bioakkumuloituva eliöille haitallinen metalli, jota käytetään teollisuuden raaka-aineena ympäri maailmaa. Bidentate [N, N] nickel complexes with salen type ligands for polymerization of methyl methacrylate

Otrzymano kompleksy niklu [N,N]NiBr2, które po aktywacji związkiem glinoorganicznym zastosowano w polimeryzacji metakrylanu metylu (MMA). Dwukleszczowe ligandy [N,N] uzyskano zastępując w ligandach salenowych grupy hydroksylowe podstawione do pierścieni fenylowych różnymi grupami alkoksylowymi (OMe lub OCH2C6H5). Metyloalumoksan (MAO) okazał się skutecznym aktywatorem kompleksów niklu w polimeryzacji MMA. Same kompleksy bez aktywatora nie wykazywały żadnej aktywności. Stwierdzono, że aktywność badanych układów katalitycznych rośnie ze wzrostem stosunku molowego Al/Ni. Quantum Motion of Chemisorbed Hydrogen on Ni Surfaces

Quantum mechanical energy levels and wave functions have been calculated for the motion of chemisorbed hydrogen atoms on Ni surfaces. The results show considerable quantum effects for the adatom in both the ground and the excited states. The description of the adparticles as being delocalized along the surface offers a novel interpretation of several phenomena, in particular the vibrational excitations. Peer reviewed

Template Fabrication of Nano-Structures using Anodic Alumina Membranes

The influence of experimental parameters on the morphology of the porous structure and on the formation kinetics has been investigated for anodic alumina membranes (AAM) grown in aqueous H3PO4 at 160 V. It was found that pore aspect ratio and membrane porosity on the solution-side surface are influenced by tensiostatic charge, bath temperature and the presence of Al3+ ions in solution. Morphological and kinetic data, recorded in different conditions, give useful information on the growth mechanism of pore channels in phosphoric acid solution. Nickel nano-structures have been fabricated using AAM as ternplate.

Haptotropism in a Nickel Complex with a Neutral, π‐Bridging cyclo‐P4 Ligand Analogous to Cyclobutadiene

The reaction of ( 1 )Ni(η 2 -cod), 2 , incorporating a chelating bis( N -heterocyclic carbene) 1 , with P 4 in pentane yielded the dinuclear complex [( 2 )Ni] 2 (μ 2 ,η 2 :η 2 -P 4 ), 3 , formally featuring a cyclobutadiene-like, neutral, rectangular, π-bridging P 4 -ring. In toluene, the butterfly-shaped complex [( 1 )Ni] 2 (μ 2 ,η 2 :η 2 -P 2 ), 4 , with a formally neutral P 2 -unit was obtained from 2 and either P 4 or 3 .
