Introduction of Multiflow for HSDPA

This paper introduces a multi-cell transmission scheme for High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) networks, called Multiflow. In this concept, downlink data is transmitted to a user terminal at the border of two cells from one or both of the cells. The cells may belong to same NodeB or to two different NodeBs. The data flows are separated by different scrambling codes used by each associated cell, thus the flows can be treated independently. This provides increased multi-user diversity by means of flexibility in downlink resource management, in addition to the spatial diversity of multiple transmission locations. Abstract Polichne mukonja Griffini, 1908 from Cameroon was hitherto known only from the holotype preserved at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels. This was probably due to the fact that the genus Polichne Stål, 1874 distributed only in Australia and Papua New Guinea. In view of this distribution, the tropical African species was therefore overlooked in the African literature. The recent discovery of two specimens at the Naturhistorisches Museum, Vienna, now provides us with a better understanding of the identity of this taxon, which is related to the African genus Catoptropteryx Karsch, 1890. Maģistra darbs Teksta-attēla sakars Vācijas plakātā Veimāras republikā rakstīts ar mērķi izpētīt plakāta saturu un teksta-attēla savstarpējo sakaru Veimāras republikas vācu politiska plakata piemērā, lai secināt, kāda loma esot bijusi politiskajām aģitācijas plakātam Veimāras Republikas vēsturiskajā kontekstā. Pētījumā ir izmantotas dažādas metodes, tajā starpā vesturiskās analīzes un pāra salīdzinājuma metodes. Paralēli ar plakāta saturu bija izpētītas arī tā funkcijas: vizuālā reklāma un ietekme uz masām, t.i. masu apziņu manipulācija ar politiskas aģitācijas palīdzību. Pētījumā ir izmantota grāmatu formāta un internetā atrodamā nozares literatūra un ilustrācijas.

Quasiparticle properties of nonequilibrium gluon plasma

We apply classical gluodynamics to early stages of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. We start by giving a brief overview of QCD. Then we proceed to the space-time evolution of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions in the color glass condensate framework and go through the basics of real-time gluodynamics on the lattice in the temporal gauge. We study the plasmon mass scale in three- and two-dimensional systems by comparing three different methods to measure the mass scale. Tässä kandidaatin tutkielmassa käsitellään tietojenkalastelun tapoja ja erilaisia suojautumiskeinoja kirjallisuuskatsauksen keinoin. Tietojenkalastelu on jatku-vasti kasvava ilmiö, mikä ei rajoitu enää pelkästään sähköpostiin. Nykyään tietojenkalastelua esiintyy esimerkiksi tekstiviesteissä, pikaviesteissä ja yhteisöpalveluissa. Tietojenkalastelu voi aiheuttaa merkittäviä henkilökohtaisia ja taloudellisia vahinkoja sekä yrityksille että yksityishenkilöille. Pro gradu –tutkielmani tutkimuskohteena ovat unipäiväkirjan kirjoittaminen ja siihen liittyvät narraatiot. Tässä tutkimuksessa narratiivisuudella tarkoitetaan lähestymistapaa, joka kohdistaa huomion kertomuksiin tiedon välittäjänä ja rakentajana. Tutkin unista kirjoittamista, unipäiväkirjan kirjoittamisen tarinankerrontaa, muotoa, rutiineja ja sääntöjä. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää, miten narratiivisuus tulee esille unipäiväkirjan tarinoissa ja kerronnassa. Tarkastelen unipäiväkirjoja tarinallisuuden, tapahtumien ja identiteetin näkökulmasta. Sisäisen tarinan määrittelemässä identiteetissä voidaan erottaa useita tasoja.
