Master´s thesis in Primary Teacher Education The purpose of this master’s thesis is to shed light on different ways teachers can facilitate the first reading and writing training. The study looks at different work methods and strategies that teachers can use to ensure that students’ needs are met inteaching. In order to obtain information about how teachers can facilitate education of reading and writing skills, observations and interviews were conducted at two separate schools. In this thesis I study how childrens grief appear in modern picture books. It`s espesially interesting to look at Annas Himmel and Eg kan ikkje sove no, as both of them is about the death of a mother, and where the father and child are left behind. Likevel har lesebegrepet fått et litt annet innhold enn tidligere. Dette skjedde i kjølvannet av den første PISA-undersøkelsen i 2000. Resultatene viste at norske 15-åringer så vidt skåret over gjennomsnittet når det kom til leseforståelse. Dermed fikk leseforståelse en større betydning, og et langt større fokus enn før (Bråten, 2007, s. 9). Master's thesis in Primary teacher education level 1-7 (NO502) This study investigates the use of sample texts in Norwegian at upper primary and lower secondary school. Sample texts are all texts that are being used in the classroom. The study is built on two different surveys, one qualitative and one quantitative. The qualitative material is based on the answers three informants gave during individual interviews; the quantitative material is based on the answers 100 informants gave in a digital survey. The questions asked in the surveys are almost identical, the qualitative survey is of course more comprehensive than the quantitative one. The surveys show a large variety of texts. Several …
