Además de la bibliografía secundaria reciente, como algunas biografías, el texto se basa principalmente en un análisis de la correspondencia de Chopin, una parte importante de la cual ha sido publicada en muchas ediciones y traducida del polaco o el francés a varios idiomas. Mi investigación muestra que muchas de estas ediciones traducidas contienen irregularidades, como pronombres masculinos polacos originales que han sido traducidos como pronombres femeninos, o notas a pie de página que carecen de referencias. The article intends to make a contribution of new documentary references, from the notarial funds of the Valencian archives, in which news about parish crosses and Lignum Crucis from the silversmith center of Valencia during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries are collected. The Patres ecclesiae?s works were a frequent topic of discussion at the time in which many humanists stood against the decadent medieval scholastics. That Juan Luis Vives was part of this tradition is demonstrated in his commentaries on Saint Augustine works. Despite its pedagogical function, the scholia of the Valencian author became quite subjective. In this sense, his ecdotic work or, specially, his «criticisms and censures» can be mentioned. Here, Vives strongly disapproves of the intense political and intellectual turmoil of his epoch. El objetivo de este estudio es el de analizar las características textuales y materiales de los libros que podían encontrarse en una notaría medieval valenciana. Pueden distinguirse los siguientes: 1. los propiamente notariales (rebedor, protocol y notal), estrechamente relacionados con las distintas fases de la redacción del instrumentum notarial; 2. los libros especializados en actividades jurídicas concretas (testaments, capbreus, seguretats); 3. los libros de derecho notarial y compilaciones jurídicas, es decir, la biblioteca profesional; 4. los libros notariales de aquellos que les precedieron en el ejercicio de la profesión, y que se hallaban bajo su custodia.
