An overview of qualitative comparative analysis: A bibliometric analysis

Abstract This study is organized in two parts. We conduct a general analysis of the use of qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), and a bibliometric study of the use of QCA to analyze the specificities of the research publications that apply this methodology. Our results show the differences in quantitative terms of the three variants of this methodology: fsQCA, csQCA, and mvQCA.
Characterizing Web sessions of e-customers interested in traditional and innovative products

Web traffic characterization and modelling is currently a hot research issue. Low-level analysis of HTTP traffic on the server allows one to build adequate traffic models to be used in server benchmarking. High-level analysis of Web user behavior allows one to optimize website structure and develop personalized service strategies. In this paper, analysis of customer sessions in an online store is performed using Web server log data. The goal is to explore possible differences between sessions of customers viewing and purchasing innovative products, and customers only interested in traditional products.

This paper presents the initial results of a two-year research project, the Data Journalism Work Practices, which focuses on newsrooms in Finland, UK and US. Data journalism or data-driven journalism has been defined simply as journalism based on large data sets (or big data) Rogers 2011; Bounegru et al. 2012). The optimization of Multidimensional Knapsacks with Family-Split Penalties has been introduced in the literature as a variant of the more classical Multidimensional Knapsack and Multi-Knapsack problems. This problem deals with a set of items partitioned in families, and when a single item is picked to maximize the utility, then all items in its family must be picked.
