The refurbishment of public residential districts represents a current and complex problem. The Cappuccinelli Social Housing (SH) district in Trapani, designed in the late 1950s by Michele Valori and built during the 1960s, is emblematic of the architectural quality and technological innovation of the time it was designed, but at the same time represents the physical and social decay that occurred just after its construction. The neighborhood was examined through a combination of inspections and documentary research. Which firms benefit from investments in green energy technologies? : The effect of energy costs

Abstract Firms will invest in green energy technologies only if these investments have an economic pay-off. Based on unique firm-level data from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, we find that the marginal effect of investments in green energy technologies on productivity is positive only for the 19% of firms with the highest energy costs. These results have major implications for companies and policy makers regarding the design of green energy policies and incentives.
What hampers green product innovation: the effect of experience

Based on representative firm-level survey data for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, this study systematically analyzes the relevance and drivers of barriers to green product innovation using the example of green energy technologies. “Low willingness to pay”, “high development costs”, “high commercial uncertainty”, and “lack of favorable political framework” are identified as the most important barriers. Moreover, we find that the firms’ innovation experience is an important driver of the level of green innovation barriers. Pila de combustible de hidrógeno. La apuesta por una energía sostenible

El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar diferentes aplicaciones de una pila de combustible de hidrógeno como acumulador de energía. Para fabricar la pila de hidrógeno en primer lugar se cortan los tubos de metacrilato y se reparten en la posición que tendrían en la pila, y con esas medidas se marcan y se cortan las dos placas de metacrilato. Posteriormente se pegan los tubos anchos en su lugar mediante pegamento termofusible y se comprueba su estanqueidad. Tras reparar las fugas, se señala sobre la otra placa de metacrilato la posición de los tubos finos, y se pegan en su lugar correspondiente, probando a cada tubo pegado si las dos partes de la pila encajan correctamente. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar diferentes aplicaciones de la energía undimotriz como energía limpia y alternativa y construir un generador undimotriz piezoeléctrico capaz de aprovechar la energía de las olas para producir electricidad. Hoy en día existen multitud de prototipos que aprovechan el movimiento de las olas para producir energía eléctrica. Como es una tecnología relativamente joven los sistemas undimotrices tienen un margen de evolución muy grande. A través de la comparación de tres poemas amorosos de Quevedo con otros tantos del autor italiano Luigi Groto, el presente trabajo pretende demostrar que la imitación o reelaboración quevediana de otros autores no es nunca mecánica sino que conlleva siempre la aportación de recursos originales que consiguen renovar la tradición. En particular, en los poemas analizados, cuyo elemento común es la presencia de personajes mitológicos, es posible averiguar cómo Quevedo, aunque se trate de poemas ‘serios', maneja el tema mitológico de manera poco convencional, relativizando y hasta rebajando las figuras míticas con el uso de un tono que si no llega a los extremos de la burlesca, tiene a vec…
