The signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) 1 protein plays a key role in the immune response against viruses and other pathogens by transducing, in the nucleus, the signal from type I, type II and type III IFNs. STAT1 activates the transcription of hundreds of genes, some of which have been well characterized for their antiviral properties. W oparciu o teorię metafory Paula Ricoeura, Aleksandry Okopień-Sławińskiej, Marii Ma- yenowej i Маха Blacka podejmuję w tym tekście próbę interpretacji poezji Krzysztofa Kamila Baczyńskiego. Kontekst historyczno-literacki, nakreślony przez Stanisława Stabro, jest ważną pomocą w połączeniu teorii metafory z teorią świadomości. Z kolei połączenie koncepcji „ja" literackiego Okopień-Sławińskiej i neotomistycznego personalizmu Karola Wojtyły oraz Mieczysława Krąpca OP pozwoliło mi na nakreślenie koncepcji świadomości poetyckiej wyrażonej w metaforze.
