The Use of Stable Isotope Ratio Analysis to Trace European Sea Bass (D. labrax) Originating from Different Farming Systems

2020

This study aimed to determine whether isotopic ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) can discriminate farmed European sea bass according to different farming systems and geographic origins. Dicentrarchus labrax of commercial size from three different rearing systems (concrete tank inland, sea cages, and extensive methods in valleys or salt works) were collected at the trading period (autumn&ndash

Tracce di ‘improbus intestabilisque’ nella Parafrasi di Teofilo e nei Basilici

2017

The research is a part of a wider study on the improbitas and the so called intestabilitas in the Roman sources and focuses on analysis of a passage of the Theophilus’Paraphrase (2.10.6) and some σχόλια added to the Basilica [especially, Sch. 1 ad Bas. 39.1(Pb).6 e Sch. 3 ad Bas. 21.1(Pa).14] – texts that have not been taken into account (except for PT. 2.10.6 only) by the scholars who studied the implications associated with the improbus intestabilisque esse. The Author aims to verify the presence of traces of that institute in the aforementioned Byzantine sources, which may be useful for a more complete reconstruction of the historical evolution of the Roman formulaic improbus intestabili…

Appartenenza e alterità: sull’idea di cittadinanza nell’esperienza giuridica romana

2022

There will be a brief overview of the development of citizenship in Ancient Roman history (during the period of Kings, Republican and Imperial Rome). Several interpretations of well-known phrases, such as ‘civis Romanus sum’ or ‘adipisci civitatem ob virtutem’, are discussed and many phenomena are analyzed, such as the expulsion of the Latin population from Rome in the second century B.C. The purpose of th…
