Niniejszy artykuł jest jedynie próbą spojrzenia na płeć ludzką z kilku perspektyw. Próbą pokazania kształtowania się płci oraz czynników, które mogą zaburzyć ten proces.

Vēsturiskā trauma ir izvirzīta kā viena no galvenajām teorijām, lai atspoguļotu pagātnes notikumu un mūsdienu traumu daudzslāņaino apvienojumu. Darba mērķis ir analizēt Kanādas pirmiedzīvotāju sieviešu vēsturiskās traumas attēlojumu mūsdienu kinematogrāfijā. Par divām pētījuma metodēm izvēlēta salīdzinošā analīze un filmu traumu teorija. Tika secināts, ka visās trīs izvēlētajās filmās tika atspoguļotas šādas tēmas: negatīva ģimenes dinamika, grūtības esot mātes lomā, neobjektīva attieksme no policijas un sociālo dienestu puses, spēcīga kopienas sajūta un īpaša izcelta pirmiedzīvotāju noturība. Effects of magnesium chloride on the contractile response of uterus to several agonists in Ca-free solution

Abstract The effects of MgCl2 on the oestrogen-dominated rat uterus have been examined. Tissues were preincubated in a Ca2+- and Mg2+-free medium containing 3 mM EDTA. Most experiments were subsequently performed in a similar medium containing either no EDTA or EDTA (1 mM). When MgCl2 was added cumulatively (1–32 mM) no contractile responses were obtained in Ca,Mg-free medium or in Ca,Mg-free high K+ solution. When 2 mM CaCl2 as added, a sustained contraction was obtained. Subsequent addition of cumulative concentrations of MgCl2 caused concentration-dependent relaxation. AbstractIn this chapter we examine a foreign language learning environment in a community-engaged setting in a Canadian city through a new materialist lens. As part of a service-learning project, Canadian students of Finnish language and culture visit a Finnish language seniors’ centre regularly to participate in different activities and spend time with the Finnish-speaking seniors. We examine the assemblage of the participants (seniors and students) and one artefact, a map, and offer a close analysis of the intra-action that takes place during one visit at the centre.
