Energy and Personality: A Bridge between Physics and Psychology

[EN] The objective of this paper is to present a mathematical formalism that states a bridge between physics and psychology, concretely between analytical dynamics and personality theory, in order to open new insights in this theory. In this formalism, energy plays a central role. First, the short-term personality dynamics can be measured by the General Factor of Personality (GFP) response to an arbitrary stimulus. Integration of finite displacement interface element in reference and current configurations

In the present paper the non-linear behaviour of a solid body with embedded cohesive interfaces is examined in a finite displacements context. The principal target is the formulation of a two dimensional interface finite element which is referred to a local reference frame, defined by normal and tangential unit vectors to the interface middle surface. All the geometric operators, such as the interface elongation and the reference frame, are computed as function of the actual nodal displacements. Analysis of eta production using a generalized Lee model

We have investigated the processes N($\pi$, $\pi$)N and N($\pi$, $\eta$)N close to eta threshold using a simple, nonrelativistic Lee model which has the advantage of being analytically solvable. It is then possible to study the Riemann sheets of the S-matrix and the behavior of its resonance poles especially close to threshold. A theoretical simulation of the experimental cusp effect at eta threshold leads to a characteristic distribution of poles on the Riemann sheets. We find a pole located in the $4^{th}$ Riemann sheet that up to now has not been discussed. It belongs to the cusp peak at eta threshold. The gas-phase electronic spectra of 2-(2 0 -hydroxybenzoyl)pyrrole and 2-(2 0 -methoxybenzoyl)pyrrole have been determined using multiconfigurational perturbation theory (CASPT2). The Influence of the Fir Absorption on the Dielectric Behaviour of Rigid Polar Molecules in Very Dilute Solutions

In view of the FIR absorption the dielectric loss of ten polar molecules — with different volume between furan and 4-bromobiphenyl — has been measured in very dilute solutions at 11 fixed frequencies over an extended range from 0.3 to 300 GHz. Solvents are heptane, cyclohexane, mesitylene, and decalin. For these rigid polar molecules a second high frequency absorption region with time constants of 1–3 ps can be separated from the predominant Debye absorption. This additional absorption decreases with increasing Debye relaxation time. Various molecular motions contributing to this absorption are discussed.
