Pētījuma Narratīva elementi videospēlēs galvenais mērķis ir apskatīt rīkus, ko izmanto videospēles naratīva veidošanai. Darbā aplūko tas teorijas par datorspēļu pētniecību un naratoloģiju, kā arī apskatīti naratīva elementi videospēlē Bloodborne. Teorētiskie pētījumi parāda, ka spēļu naratīvu var pētīt no naratoloģijas, ludoloģijas un semiotikas viedokļa. Izvelētās spēles pārbaude apstiprināja, ka stāstījums nav videospēlēm piemītošs līdzeklis, tā uzbūve notiek pēc spēlētāja mijiedarbības ar spēles elementiem, kas atrodas spēles laukumā, kas savukārt sniedz spēlētājam dažādas iespējas kā var rekonstruēt spēles vēstījumu.

This article discusses the value of role models in the language acquisition process of international students following an English as Medium of Instruction (EMI) programme in the Netherlands. Narrative interpretations of qualitative data provide insights into the identity work involved in the use of role models and the impact that this work has on the participation of learners in the ir core learning community and other communities. Pētījums aptver īsu postmodernisma attīstības vēsturi literatūrā un kinematogrāfijā, kā arī stāstījuma teoriju un stāstījuma līdzekļus. Narratives in L2 Learner Identity Development

This article focuses on second or foreign language (L2) learner identity and its development as discursively constructed, and we will summarize four studies conducted on this topic. The studies were conducted in the context of L2 teacher education in Finland, and the participants were student teachers (pre-service teachers) or recently qualified teachers of English or other L2s. As data we made use of narratives in different modes (oral, written, visual). The summarizing of the studies will be followed by a joint critical discussion of the theoretical and methodological lessons learned and possible applications. peerReviewed

Islandness is a contested concept, not just between disciplines but also cultures, entangled with what islands, island studies, and island identity are understood to be. The purpose of this article is to explore some of these different meanings, without necessarily unifying or reconciling them, with the aim of keeping multiple understandings of islandness in creative tension.
