Promocijas darba Ekstremālu klimatisko parādību un bīstamu hidrometeoroloģisko parādību raksturs un ilggadīgo izmaiņu tendences Latvijā mērķis ir ar aptverošas analīzes un mūsdienīgas metodikas palīdzību apzināt ekstremālu klimatisko parādību un tādu bīstamu hidrometeoroloģisko parādību kā jūras ledus, migla un pērkona negaiss klimatiskās izplatības raksturu un ilggadīgās izmaiņas Latvijā. Pētījuma rezultāti ilustrē būtiskas izmaiņas ekstremālo klimatisko parādību un bīstamo hidrometeoroloģisko parādību raksturā līdzšinējo klimata pārmaiņu ietekmē. CITES konvencijas noteikumu pārkāpumu izpēte starptautiskajā lidostā “Rīga”

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izanalizēt CITES konvencijas pārkāpumus starptautiskajā lidostā „Rīga” un visā Latvijas teritorijā, to cēloņus, izstrādāt ieteikumus un risinājumus šo pārkāpumu novēršanai. Darbā analizēti autores veikto aptauju rezultāti, intervējot ielidojošos pasažierus starptautiskajā lidostā „Rīga” no Eiropas Savienības un trešajām valstīm par attieksmi pret CITES konvenciju, noskaidrojot informētības līmeni un informācijas avotus. Izanalizēta CITES konvencijas pārkāpumu skaita dinamika lidostā „Rīga” periodā no 2011.-2015.gadam. Maģistra darbs sastāv no 66 lapaspusēm. Darbs satur 23 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 54 izmantotos literatūras avotus un 1 pielikumu.

One of the most intensive processes in the development of Polish transport infrastructure is currently modernizing main national railway lines. One of them is the railway line between Poznan and Szczecin. During the realization of such projects there occur conflicts in fulfilling different ecosystem functions by landscapes. On the basis of the theory of ecosystem services these conflicts should be solved, and potential projects – optimized. The spatial structure of the landscape and ecological system of nature protection in the Upper Oder Valley

The study evaluates the spatial structure of the landscape in the Upper Oder valley along a section of about 100 km. It is a part of the valley with the strongest anthropopressure. According to the theory of ecosystem services, one of the functions of the Oder valley landscape is protection of its biodiversity. It is fulfilled by protecting valuable relicts of pristine ecosystems of the valley and by ensuring the function of an ecological corridor. The most important in it are riparian forests and oak-hornbeam forests, meadows, swamps, peatbogs and old river beds.
