Accuracy of Computer-Aided Dynamic Navigation Compared to Computer-Aided Static Navigation for Dental Implant Placement: An In Vitro Study

Aim: To analyze the accuracy capability of two computer-aided navigation procedures for dental implant placement. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 dental implants were selected, which were randomly distributed into two study groups, namely, group A, consisting of those implants that were placed using a computer-aided static navigation system (n = 20) (guided implant (GI)) and group B, consisting of those implants that were placed using a computer-aided dynamic navigation system (n = 20) (navigation implant (NI)). Intraoperative Ultrasound: Emerging Technology and Novel Applications in Brain Tumor Surgery

Intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) is becoming progressively more common during brain tumor surgery. We present data from our case series of brain tumor surgery performed with the aid of IOUS in order to identify IOUS advantages and crucial aspects that may improve the management of neurosurgical procedures for brain tumors. From January 2021 to September 2021, 17 patients with different brain tumors underwent brain tumor surgery aided by the use of IOUS. Algunas consideraciones críticas sobre los viajes de Eudoxo de Cícico

El relato de las supuestas navegaciones emprendidas por Eudoxo de Cícico con destino a la India se ha conservado en la obra de Estrabón, quien, a su vez, se basó en lo escrito al respecto por Posidonio. El tono empleado en la narración de las aventuras de Eudoxo no parece demasiado realista y, al compararlo con las otras noticias transmitidas a través de la obra de Cornelio Nepote, observamos un tono claramente paradoxográfico, esto es, literario. Todo ello se enmarca en el ámbito de los debates geográficos de época helenística, donde uno de los temas predilectos fue el de la posible circunnavegación de África.

Heading at Enabling Settings for Learning

The paper draws on two cases of learning settings that were converted to meet up-to-date educational requirements within these learning contexts. The authors address the role of stakeholder perspectives. Focusing on the learning situation, they present an articulation tool to aid dialogue between key stakeholder perspectives in a (re)design process. Dialogue is a way to figure out relevant issues and to establish the common ground between participants. The goal of a redesign process is that user requirements are well understood, and the design is embedded into local practices, informed of constraints and aware of potential opportunities regarding educational technology.
