Sottolineano anche le modificazioni socio-culturali avvenute negli ultimi tempi nelle dinamiche intergenerazionali e quelle indotte dal prolungamento della vita dopo il pensionamento. In relazioni a tali aspetti avanzano la proposta di una utilizzazione sociale dei nonni nella cura dei nipoti in relazione al fatto che i genitori sono assenti per lavoro dall'ambiente domestico per gran parte del giorno.

Intermittent photic stimulation (IPS) is a useful technique in electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate the neurophysiological anomalies of brain activity. Although not an active task, IPS has also been explored in ASD; it is thought to capture local potential oscillators at specific frequencies and perhaps tap into rhythmic activity in a way that general resting-state recordings cannot. Previous studies suggest that individuals with ASD showed photic driving reactivity predominantly at lower frequencies of stimulation. Introduction: The association between primary monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (PMNE) and behavioral disorders was highlighted frequently, suggesting psychiatric origin. On the other hand, there is no difference between the incidence of mental disorders in children with PMNE and controls, although the psychological genesis could provide additional secondary forms, in which the child might react to stressful events with the resumption of involuntary urination at night, with a possible alteration of bowel control due to a high vulnerability to stressors.
