The Empire of Nicaea was a successor of the Byzantium shattered in 1204. In the newly established state marine traditions of Byzantines, remain alive. The best testimony to this, are the evidence contained in the chronicle of Georgios Akropolites, devoted to activities of the rulers of Nicaea, aimed to build their own naval forces. In this paper I'll also try to answer, where was beating the heart of the Nicean shipbuilding industry and how large was the navy of this state. W artykule została przedstawiona charakterystyka bioetyki łacińskiej, jej korzenie i geneza, rozwój w poszczególnych, wybranych krajach, a także typowa problematyka. Bioetyka łacińska u swych początków jako dyscyplina akademicka czerpała głównie ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. Niewspółmierność problematyki paradygmatów bioetyki zachodniej do realiów krajów łacińskich doprowadziła do przewartościowania i prób wypracowania własnej, swoistej, bardziej adekwatnej bioetyki kulturowej.
Lectotypification of the fountain grass Cenchrus setaceus (Poaceae: Paniceae)

The typification of the name Cenchrus setaceus (Forsskål) Morrone (Poaceae) is discussed, and a lectotype is designated. Cenchrus setaceus is native to northeastern Africa, and cultivated as an ornamental plant in some parts of the world. It is an invasive species in a wide range of natural habitats worldwide, competing strongly with the native flora.

To również czas ponownego odkrycia problemu granic i pogranicza jako zagadnień centralnych dla procesów towarzyszących człowiekowi pod koniec stulecia. The aim of this study is to shed light on an ancient custom of the pater familias, which the texts refer to as filiam abducere, which legitimated the pater familias to take back the married daughter, in order to clarify the origins, up to this moment ignored, in the Ancient Roman Civil Law. Such filiam abducere originated from an act through which the father gave away the daughter in marriage, ‘mandare fidei viro’, based upon fides. The ruptio fidei legitimated him to filiam abducere.
