Methotrexate as a treatment in ocular cicatricial moderate pemphigoid.

Abstract Clinical case A 73 year-old woman presented with a history of non-specific symptoms and photophobia in both eyes of 1 year progression. The examination revealed a bilateral symblepharon and fornix shortening. Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed the presence of linear deposits of IgG, IgM and C3 along the conjunctival basement membrane. With the diagnosis of ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, systemic treatment with subcutaneous methotrexate was prescribed. Discussion We consider such treatment a very effective initial immunosuppressive alternative in patients with moderate conjunctival inflammation and in cases of rapid progression.

Dielectron production in Au + Au collisions atsNN=200GeV

We present measurements of e+e- production at midrapidity in Au+Au collisions at sNN=200 GeV. The invariant yield is studied within the PHENIX detector acceptance over a wide range of mass (mee<5 GeV/c2) and pair transverse momentum (pT<5 GeV/c) for minimum bias and for five centrality classes. The e+e- yield is compared to the expectations from known sources. In the low-mass region (mee=0.30-0.76 GeV/c2) there is an enhancement that increases with centrality and is distributed over the entire pair pT range measured. It is significantly smaller than previously reported by the PHENIX experiment and amounts to 2.3±0.4(stat)±0.4(syst)±0.2(model) or to 1.7±0.3(stat)±0.3(syst)±0.2(model) for min…

Observation of Direct-Photon Collective Flow inAu+AuCollisions atsNN=200  GeV

The second Fourier component v(2) of the azimuthal anisotropy with respect to the reaction plane is measured for direct photons at midrapidity and transverse momentum (p(T)) of 1-12 GeV/c in Au + Au collisions at root s(NN) = 200 GeV. Previous measurements of this quantity for hadrons with p(T) 6 GeV/c a reduced anisotropy is interpreted in terms of a path-length dependence for parton energy loss. In this measurement with the PHENIX detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider we find that for p(T) > 4 GeV/c the anisotropy for direct photons is consistent with zero, which is as expected if the dominant source of direct photons is initial hard scattering. Summary The biological model of the selective induction of RNA synthesis in oviducts of estrogen stimulated immature quails by progesterone has been used to clarify whether poly (ADP-Rib) is involved in DNA transcription. Aplikācija izmanto OAuth, WebSocket, API, Server-side rendering, timekļa tehnoloģijas. Aplikācija ir domāta kā timekļa aplikācijas pamatsistēma, kas īsteno dažas timekļa aplikācija pamatfunkcijas . Kvalifikācijas darbā ietvaros bija izstrādāta “Demo” aplikācija, izmantojot Phoenix, Elixir, JSON un PostgreSQL.

Cross section and longitudinal single-spin asymmetry AL for forward W±→μ±ν production in polarized p+p collisions at s=510  GeV

We have measured the cross section and single-spin asymmetries from forward W±→μ±ν production in longitudinally polarized p+p collisions at s=510 GeV using the PHENIX detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The cross sections are consistent with previous measurements at this collision energy, while the most forward and backward longitudinal single spin asymmetries provide new insights into the sea quark helicities in the proton. The charge of the W bosons provides a natural flavor separation of the participating partons. © 2018 authors. Published by the American Physical Society.

Association of entomopathogenic fungi with exotic red palm weevil in treated and untreated Phoenix canariensis

Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) is introduced pests of established Phoenix canariensis in Sicily (Italy). A three-year field survey of R. ferrugineus generated data on species of fungal associated with larval, pupae, and adult R. ferrugineus recovered from several cadavers. Moreover specimens were collected from infested Phoenix canariensis in scattered locales in Sicily to determine also infection rates with entomopathogenic fungi over 3 years. Collection was done after overwintering period, during summer and at the beginning of autumn in palm, untreated and treated with chemical pesticides.
