Attēla fona nošķiršanas paņēmieni objektu izcelšanai

2016

Review article: intestinal lymphoid nodular hyperplasia in children - the relationship to food hypersensitivity.

2012

SummaryBackground Lymphoid aggregates are normally found throughout the small and large intestine. Known as lymphoid nodular hyperplasia (LNH), these aggregates are observed especially in young children and are not associated with clinical symptoms being considered ‘physiological’. In children presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms the number and size of the lymphoid follicles are increased. Patients suffering from gastrointestinal symptoms (i.e. recurrent abdominal pain) should systematically undergo gastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy. With these indications LNH, especially of the upper but also of the lower gastrointestinal tract has been diagnosed, and in some children it may reflect …

Two new conidial lichenicolous fungi from Spain indicate the distinction ofLichenodiplisandMinutoexcipula

2009

AbstractTwo new conidial lichenicolous fungi are described from Spain:Lichenodiplis crespoaeonCyphelium notarisiiandMinutoexcipula tephromelaeonTephromela atra.Lichenodiplis crespoaediffers from all the described species of the genus in the narrower and shorter conidia, and the hostCyphelium notarisii.Minutoexcipula tephromelaeis characterized by subglobose, conidiogenous cells occasionally bearing 1–2 long proliferating extensions, short conidia and by the hostTephromela atra.

SOME COMPARATIVE REMARKS ON THE TRANSIENT CHANGE IN LACTIC ACID CONTENT IN SEA URCHIN EGGS FOLLOWING FERTILIZATION.

1964

Abstract During the first few minutes following fertilization a transient increase in the concentration of lactic acid occurs in the eggs of Arbacia lixula , whereas no change at all is observed in the eggs of Paracentrotus liuidus . In the eggs of Psammechinus miliaris there is a transient decrease, soon followed by a recovery so that the level of the unfertilized egg is again reached.

Data from: The importance of phytoplankton biomolecule availability for secondary production

2018

The growth and reproduction of animals is affected by their access to resources. In aquatic ecosystems, the availability of essential biomolecules for filter-feeding zooplankton depends greatly on phytoplankton. Here, we analyzed the biochemical composition, i.e., the fatty acid, sterol and amino acid profiles and concentrations as well as protein, carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus content of 17 phytoplankton monocultures representing the seven most abundant phytoplankton classes in boreal and sub-arctic lakes. To examine how the differences in the biochemical composition between phytoplankton classes affect their nutritional quality for consumers, we assessed the performance of Daphnia, on …
