Abstract Background Mediterranean spotted fever (MSF) is an acute febrile, zoonotic disease caused by Rickettsia conorii and transmitted to humans by the brown dogtick Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Nearly four hundred cases are reported every year (mainly from June to September) on the Italian island of Sicily. The aim of the study was to analyze the clinical and laboratory characteristics of patients with MSF and the efficacy of the drugs administered. Bakalaura darba tēma “Poļu sabiedriskā un politiskā dzīve Daugavpilī 1922.-1934.g.” aptver laiku no Latvijas neatkarības pasludināšanas līdz 1934. gada maija Kārļa Ulmaņa valsts apvērsuma. Mērķis ir aplūkot un analizēt Latvijas poļu minoritātes darbību starpkaru periodā no 1922. līdz 1934. gadam Daugavpilī, galveno vērību pievēršot kāda bija poļu loma pilsētas un tā apkārtnes politiskajā, sabiedriskajā un kultūras dzīvē, balstoties uz poļu periodiku. Daugavpils pilsētas vēsture 20.gadsimta 20.-30. gados nebija iedomājama bez poļiem, kuri bija pārstāvēti visās pilsētas un tās apkārtnes dzīves sfērās. Tās darbību var iedalīt divās galvenās jomās – politiskā un sabiedriskā dzīve.

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai pēdējās desmitgades laikā ir uzlabojusies romu situācija izglītības, nodarbinātības un politiskās līdzdalības jomā un izvērtēt atšķirības starp Slovākijas un Latvijas gadījumiem. Bakalaura darba izstrādes gaitā ir apstiprinājusies izvirzītā hipotēze – pamatizglītības jomā piekoptās nošķiršanas politikas rezultātā gan Latvijā, gan Slovākijā pastāv zems nodarbinātības un politiskās līdzdalības līmenis romu vidū.
