Przesłanki inegracji systemów ISO 14001 oraz ISO 50001 w przedsiębiorstwie chemicznym

Przedstawiono wyniki badań w zakresie możliwości integracji dwóch normatywnych systemów zarządzania obejmujących system środowiskowy oraz system zarządzania energią. Wykazano koherentność oraz tożsamość obydwu systemów z zaznaczeniem, że system środowiskowy ma bardziej holistyczny charakter. Wynika to z wymagań dotyczących aspektów środowiskowych, które w ogromnej większości odnoszą się także do kwestii energetycznych. Wskazano na korzyści, jakie niesie jeden spójny, zintegrowany system w porównaniu z systemami rozproszonymi.
Nestriktās ekvivalences nestriktās klasterizācijas algoritmā

Maģistra darba mērķis ir iepazīstināt lasītāju ar izstrādātu, ERAF projekta ietvaros, klasterizācijas metodi FERC, un parādīt tās priekšrocības salīdzinājumā ar nestrikto C-means. Projekta rezultāti tiks publicēti žurnālā Springer. FERC metodē, mēs ieviešam nestrīktās ekvivalences attiecības dažādiem objekta atribūtiem, un tad mēs agregējam šīs nestriktās ekvivalences attiecības vienā, lai noteiktu objekta piederības pakāpi kādam klasterim. Darbā tiek parādīts, ka klasterizācijas procesā, katram objekta atribūtam var uzdot tā nozīmīgumu, ieviešot atribūtu svarus. Līdz šim klasterizācijas procesā, atribūtu svari netika izmantoti. Kā arī darbā tiek parādīti ilustratīvi piemēri.
Model selection using limiting distributions of second-order blind source separation algorithms

Signals, recorded over time, are often observed as mixtures of multiple source signals. To extract relevant information from such measurements one needs to determine the mixing coefficients. In case of weakly stationary time series with uncorrelated source signals, this separation can be achieved by jointly diagonalizing sample autocovariances at different lags, and several algorithms address this task. Often the mixing estimates contain close-to-zero entries and one wants to decide whether the corresponding source signals have a relevant impact on the observations or not. A posteriori error estimates for time-dependent reaction-diffusion problems based on the Payne-Weinberger inequality

We consider evolutionary reaction-diffusion problem with mixed Dirichlet--Robin boundary conditions. For this class of problems, we derive two-sided estimates of the distance between any function in the admissible energy space and exact solution of the problem. The estimates (majorants and minorants) are explicitly computable and do not contain unknown functions or constants. Moreover, it is proved that the estimates are equivalent to the energy norm of the deviation from the exact solution.

Normative western understandings of intimate relationships continue to draw upon the discourses of romantic love and the ideal of finding ‘the one’ who meets all our romantic and sexual needs. As desire is not sexually or emotionally exclusive, even people in normative relationships have to make sense of desires beyond the monogamous ideal. Bisexual people engage in these negotiations from a challenging cultural position. Abstract Despite awareness of campaigns such as ‘Turn Around, Don’t Drown’ and the Australian state of Queensland’s ‘If It’s Flooded, Forget It’, people continue to drive through floodwaters, causing loss of life, risk to rescuers, and damage to vehicles. The aim of this study was to develop a video infographic that highlights the dangers of driving through floodwaters and provide safety tips to reduce the risk, and to evaluate its effectiveness in changing the beliefs and intentions of Australian adults toward this risky driving behaviour. Similar and equal relationships? Negotiating bisexuality in an enduring relationship

In the public debate in Finland, same-sex couples’ right to legal recognition is routinely defended by stressing their sameness to heterosexual couples within the discourse of romantic love. This article explores how bisexual women and their partners use these discourses. The five couple interviews were analyzed by implementing discourse analysis. The results highlight how, when taking positions within the discourse of the enduring couple relationship, the interviewees drew on the discourse of romantic love. Līdzīgi kā virszemes ūdeņi, arī pazemes ūdens horizonti nereti šķērso vienas vai vairāku valstu robežas, līdz ar to tie atrodas vairāku valstu jurisdikcijās vienlaicīgi, tādejādi radot potenciālu konfliktam par to lietošanu un taisnīgu sadali. Lai arī pazemes ūdeņu loma ir tik būtiska visa dzīvā pastāvēšanā, tā ir viena no vissliktāk tiesiski regulētajām jomām starptautiskajās vides tiesībās.
