In this paper I draw the outline of a psychological genealogy of normativity: an account of normativity as a complex neuro-psychological fact, entirely analysable in non-normative terms. As a first step, I introduce two of the main problems faced by the genealogical approach. I call the first one “Gibbard problem”: what kind of neuro-psychological state is normative judgment? I call the second one “irreducibility of normativity problem”: normative dynamics seem to be irreducible to causal dynamics. The paper deals with the structural vagueness of the legal measures enacted by the Italian legislator to manage the Covid-19 pandemic. Can we demand more certain norms? Is personal liberty taken in due account by the legislator? Starting from these and similar questions, the paper proposes a reconstruction of the law and of the underlying legal ideology of contemporary constitutional States.

In this paper I argue that Rawlsian Law of People (LP) is much more useful to the debate on international distributive justice than it is commonly assumed by many leading political philosophers (Pogge, Nussbaum, Sen, Beitz, Singer). I will show: 1) that these criticisms are misleading, insofar as they do not take the concept of basic structure seriously, and they reduce LP to an instance of ethical statism or of acritical acceptance of cultural pluralism; 2) that the basic domestic structures, and the principles that govern them, depend on the law of peoples and its principles as well. Normative guidance is a way of influencing others’ behaviour which operates through the mind (through mental states and processes such as norm understanding, normative reasoning, belief in norm’s validity, choice to follow it, etc.). Il contributo analizza un caso paradigmatico di ragionamento analogico applicato a una fattispecie concreta in materia di concorrenza sleale/illecito aquiliano. Le principali catene inferenziali del ragionamento giudiziale vengono esplicitate e schematizzate, distinguendo le premesse normative, le premesse fattuali e le rispettive giustificazioni. Sono altresì evidenziati i canoni dell'argomentazione utilizzati in motivazione dai giudici. Sono evidenziati i punti di forza e i punti deboli del ragionamento e della giustificazione delle premesse. Si tratta di un ausilio alla comprensione e applicazione della logica giuridica, con particolare riferimento al ragionamento analogico.

The standing broad jump (SBJ) is a valid, reliable and feasible field-based test, which can evaluate explosive strength of the lower limbs and physical fitness. This study aimed to provide normative data for the SBJ for male and female children and adolescents and describe differences in performance between age groups and genders. A total number of 2140 children and adolescents, sampled in seven European nations have been included for analysis. The SBJ was performed to derive percentile values for gender and each age group. This study examined gender-specific longitudinal pathways from harsh parenting through rumination to anxiety and depression symptoms among early adolescents from three countries and six subgroups. Participants were 567 mothers, 428 fathers, and 566 children (T1: Mage = 10.89; 50% girls) from Medellín, Colombia (n = 100); Naples, Italy (n = 95); Rome, Italy (n = 99); Durham, North Carolina, United States (Black n = 92, Latinx n = 80, and White n = 100).
